TEXT    NEHEMIAH 4 : 1 - 6

[1]But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

[2]And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

[3]Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.

[4]Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:

[5]And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.

[6]So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

Nehemiah had a vision of rebuilding the destroyed walls of the city.

Sambalat and Tobias and the Arabians were bent on frustrating Nehemiah and his team.

Often, it's your choice to yield to the spirit of frustration or not.

Devil uses intimidation as a weapon, refuse to be intimidated.

He roars, but he is not a lion.

You have the real Lion as your father and you are carrying His DNA in you.

[11]Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

[12]But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.

[13]And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:

[14]And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

The children of Israel shattered all prison records.

They were unjustly imprisoned with hard labor for one hundred and thirty years.

They were frustrated by their taskmasters.

They were beaten and worked without wages.

When they cried unto the God of Abraham, Jehovah arose and delivered them.

You have a better covenant.

Jesus Christ is our High priest forever.

He is touched by our infirmities.

Are you laboring under a taskmaster, I decree you release today in Jesus mighty name.

[4]Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

[5]And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

[6]And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

[7]And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetch a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

[8]And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

[9]And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

[10]And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

[11]Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

[12]Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

One of the obvious results of delay is 

Frustration.

Frustration can and has driven many people to insanity.

Another problem with frustration is that it drains the faith of many and turns them into unbelievers.

Sarah had waited for her baby for so long that she had started doubting the possibility of ever having her own baby.

No wonder she laughed at the prophesy of those men from God.

What are you going through today?

A word from God will end that frustration.

[11]And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

[12]And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth.

[13]Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.

[14]And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.

[15]And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

[16]Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.

[17]Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

[18]And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.

She ate and became happy because she could see her expectations manifesting by the reason of Eli's declarations.

There are also some biblical declarations over your destiny.

TEXT    JOHN 11: 20-23

[20]Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

[21]Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

[22]But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

[23]Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

This was the story of a family that loved the Lord Jesus so much.

The bible recorded that Jesus loved them so much also.

Their brother Lazarus was sick and they sent for Jesus.

Jesus delayed and by the time He got there, Lazarus had died.

The highlighted scriptures were Martha's declaration of her expectations as captured by the book of John.

She said in verse 21&22, Lord if you had been here my brother would not have died but now that you are here, my expectation is that you will bring him back if you talk to your Father.

It was her expectation that sponsored that miracle.

Heaven respected her expectations.

May Heaven honour your expectations in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

TEXT   ACTS 3 : 1-6

[1]Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

[2]And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

[3]Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

[4]And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

[5]And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

[6]Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Beloved, in verse 4 of the story we just read, Peter and John told the lame man to look at them.

To look at them in this context means to expect something.

In verse 5 the scripture said that the man gave heed to them meaning that he expected something from them.

It was his expectation that gave birth to his miracle.

If you can believe, nothing is impossible to whomsoever believes.

The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off.

His expectation purchased this miracle, your own expectation will purchase your own in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

The biggest danger to your expectation is doubt.

The Bible said whatsoever you desire, you should believe that you have already received them.

The big mystery is believing that you have received what you have not yet seen.

This is where your faith comes into action.

The Bible said that without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Your expectations will not be denied you in Jesus mighty name.

[2]And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

[3]And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

[5]Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

[7]So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

[8]And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

[9]Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

[10]So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Beloved, did you realize that in verse 7 after the bones came together, even with sinews and flesh, they had no life.

The Lord then asked him to prophesy to the wind.

Truth is that we are a generation that is in a hurry.

God is a process being. He operates systemically.

When prophet Ezekiel watched the bones transform into lifeless bodies, he must have thought it was all over but no way, God must finish what he started.

I do not know at what stage you are on that project, refuse to give up.

Do not throw in the towel, it's not yet over until God says it is.

Press on, it's the time for your miracle.

This was an encounter that prophet Ezekiel had with God at the valley of dry bones.

Dry bones could mean a marriage that has totally broken down.

It could mean a business that has gone under, a relationship that looks totally dead, a debilitating health condition.

whatever it represents in your life, realize that it is changeable.

When God asked Ezekiel whether the bones shall rise again, he told God that only Him can determine the outcome of this situation.

God then commanded him to prophesy to the bones.

Prophesy here means to speak God word to the dry bones.

Beloved, everything under the Heavens has intelligence.

They hear the word of God.

Your womb has ears,

Your business can hear.

Your marriage has ears.

Speak life into them now and command they to obey you in Jesus mighty name.

Beloved, God is not yet done with your story.

He has never written a tragedy, He will not begin with you.

Your story will shock your generation.

Where your energy ends, there the energy of Jehovah begins.

My God is not intimidated by the number of enemies nor the size of the obstacles.

Samson was tied up and surrounded by an army of a thousand troupes.

He had only the jawbone of an Ass.

My God, who is also your God turned it into a weapon of mass destruction.

A thousand soldiers were massacred in the twinkle of an eye.

Beloved, it's not by might, nor by power but by the spirit of the Lord.

Judges 15:14-15,

[14]And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

[15]And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

I see you walk into your freedom because those chains are broken.

Beloved, there is something that is called the energy of the spirit of God.

Elijah was carried by this vehicle and he ran faster than the chariots of Jezreel.

The king's chariots are drawn by special breed of horses that are trained for speed and endurance.

God will always prove that your victory was not as a result of your strength but by the energy of the spirit of the Lord.

Verse 7 said that Zerubabel will bring forth the headstone with shoutings of grace, grace unto it meaning that Grace did this not me.

God did it not me.

When you start feeling weak and empty, remember that it's not yet over until God says so.

Your destiny is about taking a flight, don't look back and don't give up.

It's not by might, nor by power, but by spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

[8][As to what remains] henceforth there is laid up for me the [victor's] crown of righteousness [for being right with God and doing right], which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me and recompense me on that [great] day–and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved and yearned for and welcomed His appearing (His return).

Beloved, as a child of God, can you honestly say "I have fought a good fight"?

Can you confidently say that a crown of righteousness is laid before you?

Apostle Paul could say these words because his life was poured out a offering unto the will and work of God.

He did not expect accolade from anyone.

He did not question God for the difficulties he encountered all through his ministry.

He took everything as an honor.

It is truly an honor to live for the One who died for us.

[6]For I am already about to be sacrificed [my life is about to be poured out as a drink offering]; the time of my [spirit's] release [from the body] is at hand and I will soon go free.

[7]I have fought the good (worthy, honorable, and noble) fight, I have finished the race, I have kept (firmly held) the faith.

[8][As to what remains] henceforth there is laid up for me the [victor's] crown of righteousness [for being right with God and doing right], which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me and recompense me on that [great] day–and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved and yearned for and welcomed His appearing (His return).

These were some of apostle Paul's parting messages to his son Timothy.

He was actually about being sacrificed by beheading, but he was unbowed in his unalloyed service to God.

He never complained nor ever regretted being a slave of the Lord.

How do you respond when you suffer for the Lord Jesus Christ?

Realize that He died for you, you now owe Him to live for Him.

This command was given by Jesus Christ to His disciples.

Only human beings are permitted to preach the gospel.

Angels are not allowed to preach the gospel on this earth.

If there are no obedient disciples, this commission will not be fulfilled.

It will take willing and obedient disciples.

Without a preacher, how can they hear.

Rise and join the work force of your father, it's our family business and it requires haste.

[24]Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

[25]Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

Job was speaking based on his experiences with the Lord.

If you return to God and function for Him, He will reward you by building you up.

He will lift you up.

He will make you a wonder in this world.

Men and women will see you and marvel at what you have become.

You will grow and grow until you become very great.

TOPIC : FUNCTIONING IN YOUR FATHER'S HOUSE

TEXT    JOB : 11-12

[11]If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

[12]But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

The scripture is saying here that if they function for the Lord, they spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasure.

This is a very strong promise.

There is a condition to the promise here.

God said that if they do not serve Him, they would serve their enemies and also perish by the sword.

He declared that they would die in ignorance.

This will not be your portion in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Take up a duty in God's house and start functioning in your place.

TEXT: ROMANS   12 : 1-2

[1]I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

[2]Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

The God of Heaven, the owner of the universe wants you to present your life as a sacrifice to Him.

He wants you to devote all you have to serving Him.

Jehovah requires and deserves your reasonable service.

Many people like Cain are offering unto God an unreasonable service.

Unacceptable service and services that are not pleasing to God.

God does not accept irrational services, He is the creator of the universe.

Many believers have offered to God what their servants would have rejected.

Stop offering to your hurt.

Each time you offer the offering of Cain, you insult God.

Be wise

TEXT   DEUTERONOMY 28 :47-48 .

47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

The quality of service given to God matters.

God does not accept services rendered while grumbling and complaining.

God wants you to function for Him on a platform of cheerfulness.

It is upon this platform that believers are rewarded.

Many of God's children are suffering today because they regularly offer to God what they would not give to their dog.

God cannot be mocked, People reap what they sow.

Oh child of God, be  very couscous of the type of seeds in your hand.

What needs are you meeting in God's house?

What problems are you solving in the church?

God expects every of His children to be functioning different departments in the church.

He expects that you are not just warming the bench.

What needs are you meeting in your father's house?
