[3]For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take any [extra] oil with them;

[4]But the wise took flasks of oil along with them [also] with their lamps.

As the cross over approaches, how prepared are you?

Are your lamps filled with oil?

What are your plans for your spiritual growth in 2022?

Are you just preparing your canal goals?

You are a spirit being, you must ensure that you enter 2022 with a ravenous spiritual hunger.

[13]Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Dearly beloved, as  this year  rolls by, realize that you were not the only one that made mistakes.

Stop mourning your errors, let it go.

God told Samuel to forget the failures of Saul and move on.

Paul declared that he was an expert in forgetting the past.

The reason you do not drive looking at your rear mirror is because it can only see your back.

You need to focus on your front in order to avoid accidents.

In preparing for the new year, forgive yourself, forget the past.

Remember that your future is not in the past.

Prophetic declarations from God ensures protection from all the evil machinations of the enemy.

Jesus was born in a manger but He was immuned from deceases and was never sick.

The envy of Herod could not kill Him even though Herod killed thousands of babies.

Because of the biblical prophesies over your life, you will joyfully make it to the end in Jesus mighty name.

By the circumstances that surrounded the earthly birth of Jesus, with regards to the lack of even a room for the just delivered Jesus.

Jesus was teaching us that His birthday should be a day to remember the weak, the poor, the helpless and the unlovable.

God's son was born in a manger, not because God could not provide a better place but He wanted to teach us a lesson on humility and seasons.

Use this season to be deliberate about showing compassion to somebody.

[26]And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

Dearly beloved, the elderly prophet waited for  the birth of Jesus "the consolation of Israel".

Jesus is not only the consolation of Israel, He is also sent as our consolation from all the pains, persecutions, betrayals and humans who simply forget kindnesses done to them.

He is our consolation in a world that is dead of compassion and love.

Our consolation is that Jesus brought us a life that is eternal.

He has brought us a hope that is beyond our degradable body.

Christ in me is truly the hope of glory.

[18]The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Beloved, Jesus Christ the Messiah, came to this world because of you.

He brought the gospel which is also known as the good news.

He came to heal the broken hearted.

It doesn't matter how the heart was broken.

Jesus delivers the captives, including the lawful captive.

I do not know what you are going through today, keep Faith, Jesus will set you free.

[29]And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

[30]And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

[31]And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

[32]He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Jesus received also the key of David, that when He opens, no one can close.

He is the son of the Highest, we cannot therefore be the children of the lowest since we share the same parentage.

Beloved, rejoice in this season.

This season brought to us our lively hope of a glorious life with our maker.

[11]Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

[12]But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.

[13]And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

[14]Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Immanuel means God with us.

It was God's original plan to always dwell with us and in us.

He would come in the cool of the morning to be with the man He created.

When man fell, God started a new plan for our restoration.

He was coming by Himself to be born by a virgin girl.

This miracle would position God to dwell in our midst.

This is the season of mercy.

God showed so much undeserved mercy on man.

May you receive God's mercy in Jesus mighty name.

[16]And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

[17]And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

The king of Syria was at war with Israel, but his strategies were constantly being leaked to his enemies.

When he discovered that it was prophet Elisha who had the ability to hear discussions made even in the king's bedroom.

The king then sent hundreds of soldiers to go arrest the prophet.

The servant of the prophet was scared when he saw the number of the soldiers who had come to arrest them.

The prophet knew something his servant didn't know, that God would not abandon him no matter the situation.

[3]And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

[4]Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

[5]And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

[6]And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Like Peter, many have started washing their nets with disappointment.

Many have given up on the year, but God is not done with you yet.

God can start a miracle that the next ten years of your life cannot contain.

Jesus told peter to do exactly the same thing he had done and failed but this time around, it turned out a huge success.

Beloved, a net breaking catch is on your way in Jesus mighty name.

[4]So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.

[5]But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.

[6]And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.

[7]Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.

Dearly beloved, have you been in a situation where you lost what you borrowed?

It is a very challenging situation.

It is a very difficult thing explaining to someone who showed you kindness that you can not at least return that which was given to you freely.

I have been there myself.

The prophet appeared and intervened and saved them from shame.

In your own time, the God who will not let you fall into shame will intervene speedily in Jesus mighty name.

Sometimes, people think that it's over with you, but they are not you God.

Many thought that it was over for that widow but God was watching and smiling.

[36]Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

[37]And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.

[39]Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

[40]But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

Everybody thought that Dorcas's case was over, but God was not done with her.

Her death would have been a huge discouragement to the young church.

God knew and averted it.

There are people who believe that your case is irredeemable, but they shall see you glorified in Jesus mighty name.

Relax, God is in control.

[6]And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

[7]And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.

[8]And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

Dearly beloved, the rods were kept in the alter.

There was no soil, no water, no manure, no sunlight in the alter yet the rod that had Aaron's name on it budded and brought forth Almond fruits.

You may feel empty, look empty and worth nothing humanly speaking but because your God has carved your name in the palms of His hand. You are about shocking your generation.

All you need is to trust in our changeless God and suddenly, your story will change.

[16]And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.

Beloved, realize that this woman did not ask for anything at all.

She was quite okay with serving God and being happy.

Beloved child of God, Jehovah will meet all your need according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus, Amen.

[13]And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.

[14]And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.

[15]And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.

[16]And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.

[17]And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

Beloved, this woman and her husband had given up hope that they would have their own baby. 

She even told the man of God not to raise her hope.

She didn't know that God was in control.

Beloved, even now, God is in control of your situation in Jesus mighty name.

[17]And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

[18]And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.

[19]And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.

[20]And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

[21]And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.

On the day this child died, to this woman's enemies, she was finished.

But God who is just and fair was waiting for faith in other to show His omnipotence.

God raised that child from the dead by the use of prophet Elisha's rod.

God will rescue you from the present challenge in Jesus mighty name.

TEXT   JOHN 5:2-8.

[2]Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

[3]In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

[4]For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

[5]And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

[6]When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

[7]The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

[8]Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

The sick man had been in that state for 38 years.

He was at the pool of mercy but could not find help because the competition was beyond his human capacity.

When even your helpers fail, there is one helper who never fails.

He is called the omnipresent because He is our ever present help in our times of need.

The Bible said, Jesus had been observing him for a while.

Beloved, God hasn't removed His gaze off you, you are coming out of that mess with a great message.

[4]And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

[5]And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

[6]And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Beloved, by the time Abraham was asking these questions, it was humanly impossible for them to conceive a baby.

Medically speaking, they had a bad case.

It was a closed case.

But with the God we serve nothing shall be impossible.

Abraham became righteous by believing God where others would have doubted Him.

His faith in Jehovah Jireh produced his Isaac.

Satan hasn't stolen your file, God is still on your case.
