[17]Obey your spiritual leaders and submit to them [continually recognizing their authority over you], for they are constantly keeping watch over your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare, as men who will have to render an account [of their trust]. [Do your part to] let them do this with gladness and not with sighing and groaning, for that would not be profitable to you [either].

Dearly beloved, the spiritual leader is an overseer that labors to ensure that you end up well.

In his effort to fulfil this sacrade assignment, he is sabotaged, betrayed by trusted sons and daughters, back stabbed by those he suffered to raise up.

An overseer is often treated without mercy whenever his humanity appears yet his divinity is not honoured.

Please listen to apostle Paul in

2 Timothy 4:10-11,

[10]For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

[11]Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

Beloved, in verse 2, the scripture said that men will be ungrateful to their parents, unthankful and unholy.

Satan is an ancient man.

He knows the promises of the scripture concerning obedience, especially to our parents.

He encourages us to disobey our spiritual parents in order to cut short our destiny.

The bible declared in the book of Ephesians 6:1-3,

[1]Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

[2]Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

[3]That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Can you now understand the reason of the numerous inexplicable untimely deaths?

Is it not possible that the stronghold you have been binding may not be generational curses but curses that are attracted by our disobedience.

Whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him (Ecc 10:8).

[6]And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Disobedience is a deadly enemy of destiny.

Disobedience is one sure way to abort your great destiny.

Disobedience to spiritual authority can be seen in the lifestyle of independence.

The independent spirit believes that he knows exactly what is right.

Such people pick and choose which instructions to obey and which ones not to obey.

The scripture in the book of proverbs 3:7 admonishes us to fear the Lord and not to be wise in our own eyes.

Many people disobey God out of respect for people.

Adam disobeyed God out of respect for his wife and God banished him from His presence.

My counsel to you today is never to agree with anyone to disobey God.

Promptly repent of your disobedience if you value your destiny.

[4]Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

[5]And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

[6]And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

[7]And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

Peter obeyed the word of God and reaped such and amazing result of harvest.

You can reap the same kind of harvest if you would do the same thing that peter did, just obeying the word.

It's your time to reign by the exercise of your faith.

[21]Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

[22]And all things, whatsoever yea shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Faith is an invisible hand that we use to recieve the promises of God in the spirit realm and bring it to the physical realm.

Our Lord commanded the fig tree to dry up and it did.

You are made in our Lord's image and likeness, therefore you can curse every issue that is an embarrassment to your redemption if only you believe.

[3]Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

[4]But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

[5]And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

[6]And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

The miracle worker Himself could not do mighty works in His own town.

Not that He would not but that He tried but could not.

Their unbelief frustrated the flow of the power of God.

Their faithless condition short-circuited God's power.

Beloved, unbelief is a satanic trap that destroys a believer's heritage.

The most dangerous zone for a child of God is where he does not need his faith, why.

Because, the just shall live by faith alone.

JESUS DIED FOR ME SO I WOULD HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

Eternal life is God's life in a mortal man, this life makes him an immortal being.

The grave is empty, now I have God's life in me, I am immortal, praise the Lord.

[4]Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

[5]But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

[6]All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

[7]He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Jesus died for our redemption and was raised for our justification.

All He went through, He did for us.

While He was in Heaven, He was neight wounded nor bruised.

Jesus came and bore our griefs, carried our sorrows and died for us.

Since He died for us, the most reasonable thing we should do, is to live for Him.

[27]When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

[28]For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

[29]And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

This woman had lost all she had.

Her health, dignity,  wealth and relationship but she refused to lose her faith.

Faith failure is worse that heart failure.

Her faith recovered all that Satan had stolen from her.

Get up from that sick bed and stretch your faith for a supernatural recovery.

A MAN POSSESSED BY THE DEVIL WAS UNBINDABLE.

The bible said in 1 Corinthians 6:19,

[19]What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

If you are truly the temple of the Holy spirit, then no evil force should be able to bind you.

[20]And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

[21]Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

[22]My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Faith is an indestructible weapon.

Faith floats on water and quenches the flames of fire.

It also closes the mouth of lions and other devourers of destiny.

The faith of Daniel with his fastings sent the lions on an immediate fast.

Beloved, with faith in your heart, you are on your way to total exploits.

In the book of Daniel 3:15-18, the three Hebrew men refused to compromise trusting their God by faith that He will deliver them.

[15]Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

[16]Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

[17]If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

[18]But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

Jehovah the God of battles honoured their faith and gave them a most colourful deliverance.

You are the next in line for a change of story.

[5]Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

[6]And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

[7]And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

[8]I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Faith is a spiritual force that commits God's integrity to make good His promise.

This means that if you have discovered any promise for you in the scripture, if you take it to God, He is committed to delivering it to you if you waver not.

This helpless woman refused to give up and what was tampering with her joy had no choice but to give in.

This week, whatever is fighting over your destiny must give in to your destiny demands in Jesus mighty name.

[23]But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

[24]But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

[25]Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

[26]But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

[27]And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

[28]Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

This woman would have lost her miracle, her sick daughter who was healed by Jesus if she had accepted the initial rejection.

When our Lord said that what she sought for was for the children not for dogs.

She said to the Lord, you are right but the dogs can be given the crumbs.

Refuse to take no for an answer, insist on your right as a child of God.

Faith never returns with a no in it's shopping bag.

It's your time for a miracle, in Jesus mighty name.

[19]And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.

[20]And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

[21]And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.

[22]And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.

[23]And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.

This woman's faith defeated the devil that came to steal her only son and her joy.

She made a shame of  Satan and all his kingdom.

You too can be like her by igniting your faith, and refusing to be overwhelmed by his constant fake roarings.

TEXT:HEBREWS 11: 3

[3]Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.

Faith is a creative tool that uses the intangible words of God to create tangible, physical realities in this world of men.

Faith is a creative tool that never fails.

By it our fathers subdued kingdoms.

Yes real kingdoms who had overwhelming fire power and armaments.

Powerful enemies that God reduced to worms by the power of faith.

Other weapons may fail, but your faith will never fail.

TEXT: HEBREWS 22:1-2

[1]NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

[2]For by faith–trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report.

Faith is a spiritual treasure of inestimable value.

Faith is the answer to every problem of life.

Faith is also the answer to every breakthrough we desire.

Faith brings God's hand bear on a man's life for exploits.

Faith brings God into every situation, and when God steps in victory is guaranteed.

Faith dominated the world of the spirit. whenever our faith comes alive in us, the power of God becomes available for our exploits.

For by faith, the elders obtained a good report.

TOPIC : THE RELIABILITY OF FAITH

TEXT: EPHESIANS 6:12-16

[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

[14]Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

[15]And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

[16]Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

In verse 16, the Bible refered to your faith as the only weapon that has the capacity to quench, stop or frustrate all the arrows of the wicked targeted  against your destiny.

Verse 12 declared that we are not warring against human beings, but against wicked satanic forces.

However our faith in Christ remains our shield of inestimable value.

Never forget that your faith works everywhere and in every condition.

TOPIC : UNDERSTANDING LOYALTY

(Special edition)

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-11

      DOCTRINAL UNIFORMITY

The father of every spiritual leader in the Christian church is Christ. 

Jesus' Father sent him and he also sends us. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you - John 20:21.

Apostle Paul made the Corinthian church aware of the fact that he also has Jesus as his Lord and saviour. He told them to follow him as he also follows Jesus his Lord. Be you followers of me, even as I also am of Christ - 1 Corinthians 11:1.

A spiritual leader can only command loyalty from his sons if he is loyal to Jesus. 

The Berean christians were commended for their vigilance in checking the messages that were preached to them. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so - Acts 17:11.

Doctrinal uniformity is a chain gospel reaction. What Jesus received from His Father, He gave to the leaders who are expected to had over the same doctrines to their followers untainted.

Because Paul received what he taught, he was bold to tell Timothy to pass it on to loyal men. And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also - 2 Timothy 2:2.

 Know this, doctrinal deviation amounts to disloyalty.

TOPIC : UNDERSTANDING LOYALTY

(Special edition)

TEXT: JOHN 8:26-38

JESUS' DOCTRINAL UNIFORMITY

Jesus was saturated with his Father's doctrine.

He that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him - John 8:26.

He was taught by his Father. He told the world what he learnt from his Father. I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things - John 8:28.

Jesus propagated what he saw from his Father. I speak that which I have seen with my Father - John 8:38.

Jesus didn't act as a robot. He understood clearly his Father's commandments or doctrine before propagating it.

 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak - John 12:50.

His Father's doctrine was in him. It should be very clear that no christian leader is to deviate from the doctrines of Christ.

Always remember that loyalty is believing what your father believes.
