TEXT DANIEL 3: 14-18

[14]Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

[15]Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

[16]Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

[17]If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

[18]But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

These Hebrew men were true worshippers.

They were totally sold out to Jehovah.

They condemned themselves in order to honour their God.

They sentenced themselves to death by defying the king's order.

For honouring God, they etched their names in the sands of posterity as men that please God.

They remain alive thousands of years after they had gone to be with the Lord.

Beloved, realize that their are great things that it's only you that can do for the Lord.

May God reveal to you why you were born.

TEXT JOB 2:7-10

[7]So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

[8]And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

[9]Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

[10]But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Beloved, our God never forgets.

He remembers all your labour of love.

He remembers all those heroic exploits done for His kingdom.

God remembers each time you stood for the gospel, some times at the expense of your reputation and life.

Job honoured God by his resolve not to renounce or deny his faith.

Job said that he would not deny God.

Your faith would be tested and tried as a christian.

When it happens, will you still honour God with you or would you abandon Him?

TEXT EPHESIANS 6:7-8.

[7]Rendering service readily with goodwill, as to the Lord and not to men,

[8]Knowing that for whatever good anyone does, he will receive his reward from the Lord, whether he is slave or free.

Service to the Lord through His men, men/and women of God is what God expects from His dedicated servants.

These services are services rendered with a clean heart.

In the book of John 4:23 God stated, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him".

The Bible declared for the first time that God had a need He could not meet. He could not worship Himself, so He needed us to sow that seed of honour to Him.

Anyone who will sow this seed, will reap a bountiful harvest.

[14]But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

[15]And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

[16]And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

[17]And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus was thirty years when He being a God permitted His cousin a man to baptize Him.

He honoured the laws that govern lifting in the world of men.

God said nothing about His only begotten son for thirty years, but immediately after a mortal man baptized Him, the heaven opened and God spoke.

Could it be possible that Jesus would have remained in obscurity for many more years if He didn't submit Himself to this law, the law of honour?

I pray that as you begin to honour those that God put around you for your lifting that God will declared that you are also His beloved son.

TEXT  GENESIS 14 :21-23

[21]And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

[22]And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

[23]That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

Abraham had defeated the confederacy that abducted Lot.

He had returned with so much having stripped those kingdoms of everything of value.

He was met by the king of Sodom who proffered an enticing sharing pattern.

Many of us are dealing with different forms of limitations because we were unable to manage our canal desires.

The church which is supposed to process sinners into saints have become permissive.

They are now tolerant of sin and the sinners.

This should not be.

We are to resist all unrighteousness as our seed of honour to our God and our faith.

Abraham resisted, he is our father, therefore we can resist.

[5]By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God

 "For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God." 

How can a mortal man satisfy and please God?

Enoch walked with God in a decadent generation, in a generation very similar to ours.

He served God when others served gold.

He was faithful while others were fleshful.

Enoch's works with God saved him the pangs of death.

God took him, he was so precious to God that God rewarded him with a teleportation to heaven.

He was flown to heaven with a heavenly jet.

I pray for you that you will begin to invest into your heavenly account in Jesus mighty name.

Dearly beloved, keeping God's commandments is equivalent to honouring Him.

The secrete to God's blessing is honouring the Blesser.

There is a harvest to reap when we serve God with the whole of our being.

He said that we will possess the good land.

[24]By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

[25]Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

[26]Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.

Beloved, Moses was a strange man.

He was born a Hebrew, raised an Egyptian prince.

He grew up in the palace yet he refused to abandon his heritage.

Esau dashed away his birthright not for a kingdom but for a meal.

Beloved, if you know how many Christians that are willing to give up their Christianity for temporal pleasure you will be shocked.

Many Christians are not proud of their spiritual families.

God planted you there as a deliverer, to bear the burdens of your pastor.

You are in your church to expand the influence of God on the Earth.

Moses chose to suffer affliction with his family than to enjoy temporal pleasures of Egypt.

God seeing his sacrifices and honour to his heritage, rewarded him and made him their deliverer.

Hahahaha, do not forget that he laboured in the wilderness for forty years.

 TEXT :  1 TIMOTHY 5:17-18

[17]Let the elders who perform the duties of their office well be considered doubly worthy of honor [and of adequate financial support], especially those who labor faithfully in preaching and teaching.

[18]For the Scripture says, You shall not muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain, and again, The laborer is worthy of his hire. [Deut. 25:4; Luke 10:7.]

Beloved, your spiritual leaders are labourers.

What they do is a job.

It is only in Christianity that the spiritual leaders are treated without honour by the practitioners.

Traditionalists who worship dead god's know that they cannot appear before the priests of their deities casually.

If they try it, they will become casualties.

Saul asked the servant on their way to prophet Samuel's house if they had something to give to the prophet.

Our scripture for today declared that your spiritual leaders deserve not just honour but double honour.

You may not have substance to give them today, but there are many other ways through which you can honour them.

Ask the Holy spirit and He will show you.

[15]And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thine hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

[16]And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.

[17]And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.

Many of God's  children come to their father's house and behave like strangers.

They leave immediately after service.

They need God's blessings but are too smart to be of any use to God.

They are God users.

Jehu said to Jehonadab, " come and see my zeal for the Lord".

When he came, he showed him what he had done and was doing for the Lord.

There are many who look zealous without result.

If you are zealous for the Lord, there will be evidence.

Do you have zeal for our father's business?

Jesus said that our father's business  requires haste.

Jesus' sacrifice was a choice He made.

At Gethsemane Christ would have decided not to lay down His life.

He layed it down in order to please His father.

His life was poured out like a drink offering.

Beloved, what are you laying down for the Lord?

You can lay down your time, your treasure and your crowns.

[39]One of the criminals who was suspended kept up a railing at Him, saying, Are You not the Christ (the Messiah)? Rescue Yourself and us [from death]!

[40]But the other one reproved him, saying, Do you not even fear God, seeing you yourself are under the same sentence of condemnation and suffering the same penalty?

[41]And we indeed suffer it justly, receiving the due reward of our actions; but this Man has done nothing out of the way [nothing strange or eccentric or perverse or unreasonable].

[42]Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come in Your kingly glory!

[43]And He answered him, Truly I tell you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.

HONOUR IS YOUR ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE THE DIFFERENCE.

Beloved, the two criminals condemned and crucified with Jesus Christ were terrible villains.

They were both headed to hell fire.

They had killed and maimed people.

Even one of them confirmed that their condemnation was just.

Then the story began.

While this man could recognize the difference between them and the man who was hung with them, the other could not.

Many believers are unable to recognize the difference between their priests and other people and that's why the struggle has continued.

We are not equally anointed, some are made to be higher than others.

Miriam and Aaron at a time thought that they were at the same level with Moses.

God said to them, " I talk to Moses mouth to mouth".

The condemned criminal honoured Jesus and reaped a harvest of eternal life.

Honour can end your struggles.

[15]And Naomi said, See, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law.

[16]And Ruth said, Urge me not to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people and your God my God.

[17]Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts me from you.

Orpah wept, kissed Naomi, walked away out of her life and shut the door of all the sweet memories.

How often do we experience such in life.

 

Ruth clung to her and refused to say good bye.

I often listen to the heart breaking stories of missionaries and their wives.

How they invest their lives in people and their dreams only to harvest the wind.

Naomi had lost hope in her life and all possibilities of recovery.

She could only see a bleak future and didn't want anybody to share in her misfortune but Ruth held on.

Her faith was rewarded by her being grafted in the genealogy of our Lord Jesus Christ, what a super reward.

She declared, " where you die, I will die", which means she was not expecting and easy ride.

Christian brethren are expected to operate with this kind of faith and loyalty.

Those who can't die for a course can't live for a course.

TEXT  1 CHRONICLES 10:1-5

[1]Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.

[2]And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.

[3]And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers.

[4]Then said Saul to his armour bearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armour bearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

[5]And when his armour bearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died.

This story depicts one of the greatest demonstration of honour and fierce loyalty documented in the bible.

Israel was facing their most humiliating defeat. 

The battle had claimed the lives of all of Saul's sons.

Saul had  been hit and badly wounded by the Philistines.

He did not want to die in the hands of his uncircumcised enemies.

Knowing he would not survive, Saul asked his armour bearer to kill him.

This faithful young man man rather than oblige king Saul, killed himself beside his king.

Who was this man?

Who thought him this dimension of loyalty?

He would have been held guiltless and even vindicated by some people if he had metted out mercy killing "euthanasia" on his king.

But no, he wouldn't, he had internalized some values that are higher human selfishness and the mundane grip to self.

He remained one of the unsung heroes of our faith.

In heaven his crown will be loaded with stars and his shoulders with medals.

Beloved, what type of eternal structure are you constructing?

Be careful and mindful, the law of seed time is inescapable.

[34]For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

[35]Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.

[36]For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Dearly beloved, I know how terribly you feel when you seem to be doing things without being appreciated.

It's like pouring water on the rock.

Loving the loveless can be quite frustrating and painful.

The word 'thank you' has a therapeutic effect in the human psych.

How often we effect it without getting it.

Beloved, Jesus shocked those believers when He told them that they did it for Him when they did it for the helpless.

Do you realize now that you didn't do it for that ingrate, you did it for Him.

[5]Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]

[6]Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained,

[7]But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.

[8]And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!

[9]Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,

Dearly beloved, our Lord Jesus is our example. He sowed service and honour to His father, and He reaped a harvest of everlasting lifting.

He was given a name that is above other names.

He bowed to His father and His father elevated Him.

If you would be broken and submit to rules that govern your areas of engagement, you will surely be lifted by God.

Our God is not a respecter of persons but a respecter of principles.

TEXT: NEHEMIAH 4:3-6

[3]Now Tobiah the Ammonite was near him, and he said, What they build–if a fox climbs upon it, he will break down their stone wall.

[4][And Nehemiah prayed] Hear, O our God, for we are despised. Turn their taunts upon their own heads, and give them for a prey in a land of their captivity.

[5]Cover not their iniquity and let not their sin be blotted out before You, for they have vexed [with alarm] the builders and provoked You.

[6]So we built the wall, and all [of it] was joined together to half its height, for the people had a heart and mind to work.

Nehemiah was a captive serving in the king's palace at Shushan when he heard from Hanani the state of Jerusalem.

Hanani told him that the walls of the city was broken down.

He was deverstated hearing the situation at home.

He returned by the permission of the king to repair the walls of Jerusalem.

Nehemiah's heart was tied to the kingdom's purpose.

God's plan was his heartbeat.

[16]And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

[17]And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

Beloved, there was war between Israel and the Philistines.

Bethlehem had been overrun by the Philistines.

It was in this season that David longed for the water from a well in Bethlehem, a city held by their enemies.

He was only soliloquizing but some of his men heard it and braved it at all odds.

They drew water from the well of Bethlehem and brought it to king David. 

These men risked their lives to satisfy the desire of their leader.

They counted their lives nothing in order to please their king.

They honoured their king.

Do you think that they will end without the reward?

They will definitely receive the harvest of honour.

[11]Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

[12]Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:

[13]And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.

Beloved, there was a plague in the camp because of the sin of canality.

Thousands were dying because of the sins of some decadents in the camp.

Phinehas, the son of Eleazar rose up and stayed the anger of God by his zeal.

Phinehas struck the two persons desecrating the land.

This spontaneous action was as a result of his zeal for the Lord.

The Lord rewarded him with His covenant of peace and his posterity with an everlasting priesthood.

Show me your zeal and I can predict your reward.

Dearly beloved, if you have laboured in the Lord's vineyard, would have sometime found yourself in apostle paul's shoes.

The heart cry of every man called of God is for ministry burden bearers.

God's dreams are usually so large that no one man can fulfill  them. 

Apostle Paul cried out that Demas had forsaken him, he had abandoned him.

He felt badly wounded and betrayed.

What type of seed did Demas sow?

What made Demas abandon the work?

What type of harvest would he receive.

Never forget that those who sow in tears will reap with joy.

God is a rewarder, He is not unjust to deny anyone of their reward.

Choose the right seeds and keep on sowing them, declare that you will never give up.

[1]Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

[2]Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

[3]That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Beloved, this scripture is talking about honour.

Children, honour your parents in the Lord.

Holy spirit called you children and called them parents.

God was trying to define a type of relationship.

Many of these pastors labour both in prayers and physically for you, fasting and weeping.

The least expected of you is love and honour.

It is a taboo to trivialize your parents nor belittle them in any way.

It is an abomination to discuss nor gossip about your parents in the Lord no matter how flippant you are.

Barriers await those who try it.

They are simply activating the laws of closed doors and closed heavens.

In Genesis 9v 22-27, Ham the son of Noah did great harm to his drunken father by exposing his nakedness.

When his father woke up, he cursed him and his posterity.

Selah.

Life as it is is already very tough,vehemently refuse to come under this avoidable curse.

Beloved be very careful while dealing with our deity.

Never come to God with deception, remember that He is the all knowing God.

The Lord said that they position their lips to impress but their hearts are very far away.

How many times have people at the receipt of a miracle rushed to the altar with excitement declaring "I can never leave this church.

That is because tribulation has not come, they will with the same mouth declare that they were in the wrong assembly because of an unverified gossip.

Are you sowing or are you reaping.

Ensure that you will enjoy your harvest when it is served.

Don't mind men, everyone is sowing, just be mindful of what you are sowing.

They sowed deceit and reaped failure.

Beloved, just as honour responds to seedtime, dishonour also does.

Dishonour means disregard, it means to look down on something.

The scripture we read declared that they knew He was God but deliberately refused to honour Him, in return they received a harvest of a destroyed mind.

As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.

With a destroyed mind they reaped a harvest of destruction.

Jesus could not do mighty works in His home town, because they trivialized Him.   He wanted to but could not because of their unbelief.

Beloved begin to deal with every issue of dishonor in your life in Jesus mighty name.

[22]While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

HONOUR IS THE SEED FOR ACCESS.

We grew up in church hearing seed time, harvest time.

So we thought that when we sow on Sunday, we harvest on Monday or at worst by Saturday.

We were not thought that harvest times are tough times.

In Africa, our planting season starts around April and harvests are expected in August.

Within this period, you keep sowing, weeding and watering.

Usually, there is nothing to harvest.

The process of sowing the seed of honour is not cheap.

Sometimes you look foolish.

Other times you look as if you are being used, but it is in this being used that the honoured will give you a lifting hand to your next level.

The bible in Proverbs 18:16 said that,

"A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men."

Keep on serving, soon you will be the one to be served.

[29]Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

[30]Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

What is honour?

Honour means regard with high esteem.

It means discerning that something or someone is of certain level of value and according that person with reverence.

Honour is a seed whose harvest is a master key that opens every door no matter who closed it.

Honour is a ladder that moves you to the next level irrespective of the barriers installed.

Because honour is a seed, it also responds to the law of harvest as was revealed in Genesis 8v22.

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease"

The Lord declared that He was willing to honour Eli until Eli's family began to despise Him.

Beloved, whatever you dishonour diminishes in your life.

I pray that God will reinstate us by the reason of this light in the name of Jesus.

TEXT PSALMS 92:12-15

[12]The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

[13]Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

[14]They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

[15]To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Abraham believed God, acted according to the directives of God, it was accounted unto him as righteousness.

Righteousness means right standing with God.

The trees that are planted are the ones permitted to flourish.

If you keep uprooting a tree and replanting, it does not have a chance of flourishing.

It is only in God's house that I find trees that deliberately uproot themselves yet convincing themselves that they will still flourish.

But concerning those who continue to serve, there is a reward system.

The scripture said that they shall still bring forth fruit at old age.

Dedicated kingdom service is equivalent to taking a kingdom insurance policy.

When you come into God's workforce, He takes it upon Himself to protect you.

Any attack on you becomes an attack on the kingdom of God and attracts instant counter attack from Heaven.

Your protection becomes divinity's priority.

This is because your vision aligns with the kingdoms' plan.

Your defeat at this point becomes an impossibility since Heaven has never lost a battle before. 

Rejoice exceedingly because your harvest is in view.

I feel extremely loaded.

Friend, God will surely give you rest from all your adversity.

God said that He will not cast off His people and will never forsake His own inheritance.

Beloved, you are God's inheritance.

Weeping may endure for the night but Jehovah Shammah will surely return for the righteous.
