Our confidence is not in the flesh.

Jesus said that He and His father are working.

[8]But what saith the scripture? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

When devil begin to throw stones at you with suggestions of death, failure and betrayals, there is a question which God expects you to ask.

When Satan starts invading your thoughts with projections of failure and disaster, ask him "But what saith the scripture?".

What saith the scripture means that if that projection does not line up with the scripture, it should be discarded.

It's dead on arrival, it cannot prosper.

Any weapon that is formed against your progress is dead on arrival in Jesus mighty name.

[11]The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Solomon told Hiran king of Tyre that David his father could not build a house for God because of the many battles that he had to fight.

David was a man of war, he fought over forty four wars and came out without scares, but he could not build a house for his God.

Wars can be a major distraction.

Solomon fought not battle all through his reign, why?

The Lord Himself gave him peace all round.

God promised that He would make the wars programmed against you to cease.

God is with you so no one can rise up against you.

Only be still and know He is God.

Beloved, our omniscience Daddy knows exactly what you are going through.

He knows who is oppressing you.

He knows the exact condition that is trying to frustrate your faith.

He knows what is trying to destroy and weaken your spirit, but He has declared that He is a refuge for you in times of trouble.

A refuge is an institution, a being or a technology that provides you with shelter, safety or protection in times of trouble.

That's what God is to those who put their trust in Him.

He is called Jehovah Saboath, He is the Lord of hosts.

[32]For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.

[33]But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

One of the most difficult things I have seen people confronted with, is believing a being that they cannot see.

It's very tough but that is why we need faith.

It is faith that helps us to trust the unseen Monarch of this universe.

In 1 peter 5:7, the scripture encouraged us to cast our cares on God that He cares for us.

It's true He does.

If He cares for the birds of the air, why won't He care for the caretakers of His creations.

When the psalmist declared that surely, He shall deliver thee from the trap of the wicked, he had seen God work from the background.

Verse 10 said, "there shall no evil befall you".

It only God that can make and honor this kind of promise.

He shall also give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

Joseph truly went through a very painful process on the way to his destiny. But for one moment let us imagine that some kind person like his brother Reuben had rescued him, Reuben would have destroyed God's plan for his life.

Often, we do not have the full or complete picture.

We know in parts but God has the complete picture.

It was completing the process that ushered Joseph into the full plan of God for his life.

Your life is actually like his, that was why scripture used him as an example for us.

In the gospel of John 14:1, He said to us

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

He said this to us because He knew that we would have some times of trouble.

Though He was leaving, He sent unto us another comforter, this comforter would live inside of us. He is called the Holy spirit, He is always at work in us. 

Even now He is working out the purpose of God in your life.

TOPIC : OUR GOD IS AT WORK

TEXT PSALM 71:7-9

[7]I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

[8]Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

[9]Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

Dearly beloved, the reason a bird is suspended in the air is not because it has wing and feathers.

The chicken has both, yet is unable to fly.

The law of gravity is defeated while the eagle is in flight because God is at work.

The reason for your shining is because God has ensured that you would not fall, just be grateful.

TEXT PSALM 63:6-9

[6]When I remember You upon my bed and meditate on You in the night watches.

[7]For You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings will I rejoice.

[8]My whole being follows hard after You and clings closely to You; Your right hand upholds me.

[9]But those who seek and demand my life to ruin and destroy it shall [themselves be destroyed and] go into the lower parts of the earth [into the underworld of the dead].

Dear, there is confidence I holding unto the mighty God.

He watches over you to ensure that you are protected even from those who seem like your friends.

If you cling to God, His hand will uphold you.

Whatever is committed into God's hand is preserved forever.

No man can pluck you out of His hand, glory.

My God is always at work.

God bless you.

TOPIC : OUR GOD IS AT WORK

TEXT: ISAIAH 59:19

[19]So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

You never know how strong your God is until you are surrounded by things that are stronger than you.

God steps into your battles when you acknowledge that yo do not know what else to do.

He comes in to prove that  He is your ever present help in times of trouble, ps 46v1. He is never absent.

In 2 Chronicles 20 verse 1-20, Jehoshaphat was confronted by over three nations in battle.

He called onto God and told Him that he had come to his wits end and does not know what else to do.

When God had this,

He took over the battle and declared that Jehoshaphat was not  going to fight in that battle.

In this new month, may God take over all your battles in Jesus mighty name.

TOPIC : FAITH IN HARD TIMES

TEXT: EPHESIANS 6:10-13

[10]Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

[11]Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Dearly beloved, these scriptures admonish us to put on the whole armour of God.

Not some but all.

When you have done this, the Bible requires nothing more of you but to wait for your victory.

The scripture said when you have done all, then just stand.

I know that in this period of waiting it looks as if you are doing nothing.

Do not be wrattled, your redeemer is at work.

He will surely bring tears of joy to your eyes.
