TEXT EPHESIANS 4:27-29

27 Neither give place to the devil.

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

HOW DO WE GIVE PLACE TO THE DEVIL?

The scripture commanded us not to permit corrupt communication to proceed out of our mouths, but that which is good to the use of edifying or for building up lives.

Whenever you are speaking corrupt and polluted word, you are giving a place to the devil.

John 10 V10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...."

So a man may think that he is just talking, but he is issuing out invitations to demonic forces who will ultimately move in to wreck havoc in his life.

Beloved, let us begin to practice tongue management.

88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

Beloved, the word of God is settled in heaven, but God is seeking for those who will settle it in this world.

God's word concerning your life can only be settled on earth by the effective use of the mouth.

In Isaish 53 :

5, God's word said, " But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

These words were settled in Heaven thousands of years ago concerning your health and healing, but God is waiting for you to settle it in your body.

TEXT  EXODUS 7:16-17

16 And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.

17 Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

Beloved, this life is mysterious.

One man shut down a nation by the power of his spoken words.

Moses locked down the whole of Egypt as he spoke those words from God.

Generations of Jews had suffered for four hundred and thirty years under the Egyptian bundage.

In these many years so many people had tried to liberate the Jews, using different revolutionary methods, but they all failed.

Forty years earlier, Moses had tried to liberate his people by violence but it did not succeed.

He was retrained in the wilderness on the technology of using the word as a weapon.

Moses used God's word and his rod so much that the rod of Moses became the rod of God.

Moses called down ten devastating plagues that shut down the Nation of Egypt and without shooting an arrow, Egypt paid them to leave.

Do you know that this your mouth that you have dedicated for consumption can be a weapon for liberation.

TEXT  GENESIS 1: 1-3

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The Bible said that the earth was without form or void : and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

Then the Holy spirit moved upon the face of the waters.

When the Holy spirit started to move, I expected that the darkness will be remove, but nothing happened. 

When God came on the scene and started to speak, everything began to change.

The word that God spoke immediately initiated the reconstruction of the earth.

Beloved, your words can also reconstruct your world.

TEXT  JOHN 11:33-36

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,

34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

35 Jesus wept.

36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

Beloved, there is awesome power in the word.

Until you speak the word, you are at the mercy of life and you know what?

Life is not fair.

Hear the Psalmist in Psalms 74 :20 

"Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty."

When Jesus got to the home of Lazarus, He met both Mary and the crowd weeping.

The Lord Himself even wept , but His weeping shockingly did not produce any result.

This taught me that weeping is not a solution to the problems of man.

If God honors tears, He would have honored His son's tears.

After weeping, Jesus asked them where they layed him.

He told them to take away the stone.

And when they had done that, He  cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth and he that was dead came forth.

Everything Jesus did was for us to emulate, if we do, we will reproduce the same result.

TEXT  EZEKIEL 37:1-7.

1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

To prophesy is to say that a certain thing will happen in the future.

You can only see what you say.

Words are like seeds, you will harvest the quality of seeds that you sow.

God told prophet Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones, but He also told him what to say.

This is because what you say, determines what you see.

Here what God told Ezekiel in Ezekiel  5-6 :

"5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD."

Beloved, yours is to prophesy, God's role is to deploy all the resources needed to bring it to pass.

1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

Spirits do not travel in vehicles, the transport system of spirits are words.

Spirits travel when words are spoken.

Your words are actually spiritual locomotive agency.

So do not expect to have the activity of spirits in your life until you begin to speak.

If you want to see the spirit of God at work in your life, begin to mobilize them with your words. 

You can also harvest the activities of demons in your life by the type of words that you speak.

Prophet Ezekiel said, "and the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me and set me upon my feet".

Jesus said, the words I speak to you, they are spirits and they are life".

In the same way, whenever you speak, you also speak spirit and life or death, depending on your nature.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.

My prayer is that you will begin to doctor your words until you become a spiritual wordsmith.

TEXT : I TIMOTHY 8-10

8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Apostle Paul said that godliness is profitable unto all things.

Godliness is a guarantee of God's presence in this present life and also in our eternal abode.

He said that godliness is profitable for all things.

What this means is that whatever you do, cultivate holiness and a consecrated life.

Holiness will shatter every locked door and melt every chain.

It frustrated the flames of fire and shuts the mouths of lions.

Holiness subdues both princes and nations.

Your purity is a rod that the enemy cannot stand nor ever gainsay.

TEXT HEBREW 12:14-16

[14]Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

[15]Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

[16]Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Have ever wondered why the Holy spirit referred to Esau as a fornicator?

Holy spirit knew the connection between gluttony and fornication.

They both refer to lack of control of one's self.

There is no fornicator who is not gluttonous.

Both of them are sponsored by the same spirit, lust.

Look at what the Bible said in Hebrews 12:17,

For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Lust cost him an eternal inheritance.

Lust is sin, sin is the intercourse between man and alien spirits.

Determine who owns your worship, let the same also own your body and your soul in Jesus mighty name.

TEXT JOB 2:6-11

[6]Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

[7]And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

[8]And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

[9]Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

[10]Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

[11]But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job went through very horrifying situations.

He was brought to ground zero in everything.

What Job did not know was that there was a council meeting in Heaven where God boasted with him.

It was the boastings of God that implicated Job.

Life does consist of what you have but who you are.

Can God boast that in that office that even if every other person steals that you will not?

Can God boast that you will keep your body chaste and not throw it at him as a baite for marriage?

Can God trust you that your work in His house is genuine and not eye service?

Can God trust you that if He lifts you, you will remain humble?

Can God make a boast in who you are?

Selah.

[14]I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

[15]I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.

[16]I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.

[17]And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.

Job was sharing the secrete of his greatness with us.

He summed it up as a result of his deliberate cultivation of righteousness which he wore as a robe.

We are therefore expected to feel naked whenever we get involved with sin and iniquity.

When we lie, steal, cheat and get involved in immorality, we become naked of divine clothing.

May you begin to work on yourself until you begin to live above sin in Jesus mighty name.

TEXT. GENESIS 39:7-9

[7]And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.

[8]But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

[9]There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

What many today would have seen as an opportunity and a ladder for rising is what Joseph saw as an insult and an arrow shot at his purity.

He saw it as an attempt to destroy his affinity with divinity.

He said, how can I do this great wickedness and sin against my God.

He was referring to a God that he knows very well.

Remember that Joseph was both a slave and a captive in Egypt but he refused to choose the easier wrong but chose the harder wrong.

He was in the prison for fourteen years, the power of purity released him as a prime minister and controller of the staff of bread in Egypt.

If Joseph had accepted the offer of portipher's wive to sleep with her, he would have been elevated to the level of chief servant in portipher's house.

Sin truly is a sinker of destinies.

I pray that the power of the Lord almighty will empower you to be able to live above sins in Jesus mighty name.

TOPIC : THE POWER OF PURITY

TEXT DANIEL 1:8-9

[8]But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

[9]Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

Daniel was a captive and a slave in Babylon , but the bible said that he purposed in his heart that he will not defile himself.

His was a choice.

He had every reason to doubt the God of his fathers, Jehovah.

He could have accused Jehovah of His inability to protect them, but no, he didn't.

He would have seen his present condition as a miracle, then begin to swim in pleasure but no, he refused to defile himself.

There is this saying that when you get to Rome, you behave like the Romans, but not Daniel.

He would never lower his standard.

Babylon prides itself as one of the most corrupt civilizations ever but Daniel live there as a holy man.

Purity not only kept but elevated him.

He saw four kings and was adviser to these kings spanning over sixty five years.

He had not godfather in Babylon , but he remained relevant all through these years.

If you see the damage this your weak morals and compromises has done in your life, you would wish you never practiced iniquity.

God constantly forgives you, but you are still harvesting the consiquences and I don't know for how long.

Fear God.

TOPIC : THE CREATIVE POWER OF PRAYER

TEXT  ISAIAH 53:4-5

[4]Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

[5]But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

The death of Jesus on the cross was a price paid in full for our health and healing.

Is God aware that you are sick?

God is aware but has done something about it. He is expecting you to enforce what He has done on your behalf.

Isaiah saw with his prophetic vision what God planned for His children as their rescue from sicknesses.

God does not see one sickness being bigger than the other.

The same price that was paid for cancer was paid for malaria.

All you need to do is to faithfully claim your healing and you will be healed, just remember that it's been paid for.

The bible declared in Matthew 8:17 "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses".

Our healing is already procured for us, therefore keep enforcing by prayer what you have received in Jesus mighty name.
