[11]And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

[12]And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

[13]And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Gideon was a great man who lost his real identity in the midst of crisis.

He could not protect his inside and was overwhelmed by the outside.

He was controlled by the environmental happenings to become who he was not.

Many giants have responded to the pervasive voice of the environment, and have permitted themselves to be socialized and conditioned into failure.

They were told things like, " you are too ambitious, where do you think you are going to?, We are poor here stop deceiving yourself, we have seen people like you before, you are not like them" ( the successful ones).

Beloved, if you can hear me today, you can rise up and fly.

You are no one's slave, you are designed to be a winner all the time.

[14]And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

[8]Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

[9]And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.

[10]And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

[11]As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

[12]Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.

Caleb received an inheritance when he was forty years, at eighty five, he came to Joshua the leader to request that he should be authorised to proceed and take over

Even though he received the mountainous area, he was set at eighty five to begin to take over.

Do you hear thoughts in your mind that it is too late to fight back?

Realize that it's not your mind that is speaking.

What you are hearing is the voice of the devil.

If you fall, get up and keep moving.

Rebuke that voice and fight for the destiny that you have already received from God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

[31]But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

[32]And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

[33]And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

What was it that made great men of stature, leaders of their tribes see themselves as grasshoppers?

Grasshoppers are weak and defenceless , they have no weapons of attack and they are also slow in speed.

They are totally vulnerable in the face of attack.

These men's mindset was their undoing.

They by themselves undermined themselves.

They could have also undermined the destiny of a whole nation.

How do you see challenges?

Do you see it as a dead end?

Beloved, begin to realize that perception is reality.

How you perceive your life is what you will receive.

The life you have today is the life you saw yesterday, the life you will have tomorrow is the life you choose to see today.

The choice is yours.

20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Beloved, this man was able to save his son by a flash of faith.

He said, I believe, but help my unbelief.

It was what I call a flicker of faith that saved his son

Possibility mindset takes you beyond dead-ends.

It reminds you that anything is possible and that there are still more solutions and options available to you than you have allowed yourself to see.

The man believed that he still has options.

You reading this devotional, do you realize that you have not exhausted all your options?

Beloved, observe God's intervention in the life of Hagar,  in Genesis 21:15-19

And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink."

[40]Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

What is possibility thinking?

Possibility thinking is the willingness to see possibilities instead of limitations.

Many people wear an impossibility mindset the same way people wear their dark lenses. 

If you wear a dark lense in a bright morning, everything you see will look dark.

This is how it is with our lives.

It's all about what you have trained your mind's eye to see.

Your lenses helps you to amplify whatever you see.

In John 11:39, Jesus said to them, Take ye away the stone, but Martha, the sister of Lazarus said that Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

That was what the lense she was wearing could see, limitation.

If Jesus wore her type of lenses, Lazarus would have rutted in the grave.

What kind of lenses are you wearing?

What we have termed impossible are often the same things that are common place in many lives.

We call them impossible because our wisdom level cannot produce them.

Jesus called the product of wisdom it's children.

You can also call them result.

Jesus said that if you can believe, that all things are possible to the one that believes.

Faith cometh by hearing, whenever your faith overwhelms an area, your result in that area will show.

It is the knowledge of who your God is that damages and demolishes impossibilities.

Have you been in a situation and you truly do not know what to do?

Some will say, "Am in a fix".

The disciples were in a fix when the tax collectors selected them for victimization.

They had no money so they thought that they would face shame.

What they did not know was that someone greater than gold was the head of their camp.

Jesus in a boat secures both the passengers, the crew and the captain.

If you feel that you are in a fix, reach out to Jesus, He will fix your fix.

He alone knows the way in the dark.

[19]Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

[20]Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Dearly beloved, the Lord revealed to us from these scriptures something that is greater that power.

As a young christian, I believed that if you have power, that you have it all.

As I grew up in the Lord, I now understand that there are other dimensions of power.

 Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, holy living, bodily  consecration, and the spirit of prayer are all power in a higher dimension.

The greatest level of power is having our name written in the book of life.

Why

Because the assurance of salvation is the highest medal to be received by any man.

Are you  born again?

Is your name written in the book of life?

If yes, then you are operating at the highest level of power.

[19]So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

[20]And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

The Lord reeled out these as the CV of any one that has come to believe in Him.

These are not for the old believers, not for the General overseers but for anyone who believes.

The first time that Jesus sent them out, they had been with Him just for a while but their results were outstanding.

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven"(Luke 10:17-20).

Jesus was not surprised at their results because He expected them.

An authentic christian is expected to walk in these miraculous dimension naturally.

It is supernatural to the none believers.

It is my prayer that you will become one of those who believe in Jesus mighty name.

[27]And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

[28]But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

[29]Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

Some human beings prayed and sang and earthquake started.

What type of human beings are they?

Incidentally, they were human beings like us.

The only difference is that they believed in the price that Jesus paid for them.

They understood the power that the Holy spirit carries into a born again human spirit.

They knew that they were co-workers with Christ.

Beloved, you are such a man if only you would believe.

The bible declared in Mark 9:23,

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."

Could this statement be true,

That we are on the earth as Jesus is in Heaven?

How is Jesus in Heaven?

The scripture describes Him as the one that is sitteth on the right hand of God.

He controls all the powers both in Heaven and on the earth.

How can we be like Him?

The bible declared this in Ephesians 2:6-7,

"And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus."

 He raised us up together with Jesus and made us to sit down together in the heavenly sphere by virtue of our being in Christ Jesus.

We received this elevation by grace.

If we press further in prayer, we will receive all that our new nature has bestowed on us.

Prayer is the answer.

[34]Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

[35]If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

The bible talking about the beginning, said that God made us in His own image and likeness.

Could this be true?

God cannot lie, He actually made us to be a masterpiece of His wisdom.

In Ephesians 2:10, the bible described us this way,

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are not an after thought in creation, we are the center-piece of God's creation.

He created us to hold the forth for Him.

He created us to be His representatives in this dimension of God's creation.

In the book of Psalms 82:5-7, the wise prophet called us gods.

[5]They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

[6]I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

[7]But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

The psalmist was pussled at the disaster that these gods were going through as a result of ignorance.

They do not have the slightest idea of who they are.

If they knew, they would have been working in victory.

It is time to begin to move in absolute assurance of who we are.

As you do, you will also begin to see God's hand moving in your direction in Jesus name.

[18]And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The Lord said that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church.

The church is not the building but the people who make up the body and Jesus who is the head.

The gates of hell cannot prevail over the church means that the church will withstand all the forces of hell and their collaborators.

Barrenness, poverty, sickness, fear and frustration are all the weapons that hell deploys  against the church, but the Lord Jesus said that it shall fail.

In your life also, it has failed.

Beloved, you are more than a conqueror.

You are a victor, you can never be defeated in Jesus name.

TEXT ACTS 5:15-16

TOPIC : THE AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN.

[15]Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

[16]There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Beloved, peter's shadow was healing the sick and restoring those who were demon possessed.

This was the same peter who was so afraid of being caught with Jesus.

The same peter who denied Him three times within a few hours.

Who brought the radical change ?

In Acts 1:4-5, Jesus commanded them,

"And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence."

In Acts 2:1-4, this promise was fulfilled.

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

At the fulfillment of this promise, power was released from the throne of God.

From that moment, it lbecame possible for a man to carry upon himself the dimension of power that operates in the trinity.

Many carry such power within without even realizing it so they continue to face defeats everyday.

Some have even destroyed by the arrows of witches and wizards. 

God forbid, my Lord decreed that no arrow that is formed against me shall prosper.

TEXT MATTHEW 14:25-29

TOPIC : THE AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN.

[25]And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

[26]And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

[27]But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

[28]And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

[29]And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Peter answered Jesus, if this is you, ask me to come and Jesus asked him to come.

Peter began to walk on water.

Peter became a water walker.

When Jesus said to peter come, peter suspended his mind because what was happening was not logical.

It was not scientific but it was real.

When you expect great things from God,  like healing, financial breakthrough and marital bliss, keep your logical mind at home, don't carry it to church.

The church is not a place where human reason is of any use.

Power is superior to logic just as result is higher than reason.

The church is the place where your miracles are fertilized.

God's power is surely mighty to deliver.
