TOPIC : THE FORCE OF HONOR

TEXT :  2 SAMUEL  2 :  2-15

2 It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.

3 And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.

4 And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

5 And David said unto the young man that told him, How knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?

6 And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.

7 And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here am I.

8 And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

9 He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.

10 So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.

11 Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:

12 And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the LORD, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.

13 And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.

14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed?

15 And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him that he died.

David received what should have been good news to most of us but started mourning instead of rejoicing.

He was told that the man between him and the throne had just died but he was both shocked and dazed that king Saul could die like a man who was not anointed.

To cap it all, an uncircumcised Amalekite slew him.

David understood honor so he immediately killed the unbeliever who claimed to have killed the Lord's anointed.

Many people today are stocking fires that they will need a lifetime to stop.

It's not every fire 🔥 that responds to water.

Watch what kind of fire 🔥 you are kindling.

I pray for you that you will pass all your papers in the exam hall of honor.

TEXT :  HEBREWS 10 : 21 - 25

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Before every church meeting starts, the Holy spirit and Jesus Christ are already there.

They have never come late nor stayed away from the gathering of the saints.

Wherever two or three are gathered in His name, He is there in their midst.

Imagine the Holy spirit and Jesus coming to have a meeting with you, and you either keep them waiting or kept away from the meeting with frivolous excuses.

That is dishonoring the Trinity.

The Lord said in 1 Samuel, 2 verse 30

30 Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

There is no permanent jessy in the Lord's team.

Anybody can be benched.

How have you decided to work with God this year?

Will you continue with dishonor and lackadaisical attitude towards God.?

I pray that you will not fail God this year in Jesus mighty name.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

IF YOU IGNORE MOUTH WORK, YOU WILL END UP WITH  HAND WORK.

Mouth work is easier than hand work.

The Bible said that God worked for six days and rested on the seventh day.

What type of work was God doing?

He was doing mouth work by using His mouth to create visible things from the invisible realities.

You too can do same

Mouth work is not easy otherwise God the most powerful one would not have rested after six days of speaking.

He rested because He had done serious work

In Genesis 1 verse  3 ,

The Bible said that God said and in verse 4 the same Bible said that God saw that what He said was good.

Your father God says it and sees it.

As His Baby, you will say things, and  also see them.

Beloved, begin to upgrade your words this year.

Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Your mouth is the driver of your life.

If you can control your mouth, you can control your life.

If right now your life is going towards a direction that you do not like, you can use your mouth and pilot your life from that direction.

Your life obeys your tongue

Our lives are the product of our words.

We can determine the outcomes of our lives by simply saying the right things.

Your words are your tomorrow in your today

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

God's words never fail no matter the circumstances.

God's words in your mouth will resist any and every contrary situation.

Storms bow to God's words.

Demons bow to the word of God.

But there are conditions that permit the word of God to prosper in your mouth.

The greatest condition is that you must believe that God will perform His words that you speak.

I verse 22 Jesus said to them that they should have faith in God and in verse 24 Jesus said that this cannot work except you believe.

My prayer is that you will enter into a higher dimension of faith this year.

God is not the boy next door, He is God.

If He says it, He will make it good.

While dealing with God suspend your mind, God is not your agemate.

God's word has possibilities that are beyond your imagination

Are you wondering how God can remove that huge Fibroid?

It's just because you have not wondered how God inflated that womb with a little drop of water.

If Satan can put it, God can remove it

Heaven is waiting for your command in order to act.

Never let let your mouth cooperate with your condition.

[34]And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

[35]Jesus wept.

[39]Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

[40]Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

What is possibility thinking?

Possibility thinking is the willingness to see possibilities instead of limitations.

Many people wear an impossibility mindset the same way people wear their dark lenses. 

If you wear a dark lense in a bright morning, everything you see will look dark.

This is how it is with our lives.

It's all about what you have trained your mind's eye to see.

Your lenses helps you to amplify whatever you see.

In John 11:39, Jesus said to them, Take ye away the stone, but Martha, the sister of Lazarus said that Lord, by this time he stinks: for he hath been dead four days.

That was what the lense she was wearing could see, limitation.

If Jesus wore her type of lenses, Lazarus would have rutted in the grave.

What kind of lenses are you wearing?

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

It takes violence to survive in this world and remain on the top.

If you must remain on the top, you need a very rugged and unrelenting fighting spirit.

This life needs a great level of aggression in order to address spiritual rebellion against your spirit.

Don't be deceived, it has been established that life is a fight.

If you must win, you must fight through.

If you don't fight, you will still end up a casualty.

Beloved, the eagles fly and exist in terrains that are above ten thousand feets above sea level.

To achieve this feat, the eagle develops and deploys a brutal, aggressive and a violent spirit.

The eagle fights with the hyenas, snakes and other animals mercilessly.

Beloved, the Lord, wants you to develop a determined fighting human spirit that can survive and win at all times.

TEXT ESTHER 4:13-16

 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,

Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

The fate of a whole people, the Jews hung on the actions and inactions of Esther.

There was an urgent need for her to seek audience with the king, even though the king did not  summon her.

It was generally known that you do not see the king unless he summons you.

The punishment for breaking this law is death.

Esther being determined to save her people broke all existing protocols, stood before the king, and gained victory  for her people.

Only God knows how many people who are looking up to you.

I mean people whose faith to continue or accept defeat is dependent on you.

These are people who would give up if they slightly sense that you have given up .

Beloved, you will carry the trophy in Jesus mighty name.

And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land

Beloved, there are times that men are truly cast down.

In our world today, men are cast down.

Relationships, including marriages are breaking down because many spouses cannot see the reason to wait for the change to come.

People are under pressure, but those with determined human spirits are winning.

Isaac dug the first well and got water, but the men of Gerar would not let him have it.

They strove with him and they took it.

He went down and dug another one which was also taken.

When he dug the third well, they left him alone.

Thomas Edison failed over nine hundred times in his attempt to invent the bulb that gives us light in our houses.

Beloved, even the Bible said that a good man will fall seven times, and rise up again.

I have discovered that if you refuse to give up, every force opposing you will give way.

This is an irrefutable law of nature.

It will not change.

Realize that this world is for the very bold,

[22]And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

[23]Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Beloved, every man's area of lack is his area of ignorance.

What we have termed impossible are often the same things that are common place in many other peoples lives.

We call them impossible because our wisdom level cannot produce them.

Jesus called the product of wisdom it's children.

You can also call them results.

Jesus said that if you can believe, that all things are possible to the one that believes.

Faith cometh by hearing, whenever your faith overwhelms an area of lack, your result in that area will show.

It is the knowledge of who your God is that damages and demolishes impossibilities.

If you must do exploits this year, get ready to explore deeper into the living world.

As you continue, you will meet with spirit of exploits.

NOW IS THE BEST TIME TO START.

[7]Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.

[8]Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

[9]And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.

[10]And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

[11]As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

[12]Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.

Beloved, there are many who feel weak and empty inside of them and they are looking forward to retirement.

As we enter into a new year, they are so disillusioned, they believe that they have nothing more to offer to life.

But Caleb received an inheritance when he was forty years, and at eighty five, he came to Joshua the leader to request that he should be authorised  and commissioned to proceed and take over the land.

Remember , what he received was the mountainous area, still he was set to begin to take over at eighty five.

Do you imagine  that it is too late for you to fight back?

Realize that you're not imagining things, you are hearing the voice of the devil.

If you fall, get up and keep moving.

Rebuke that voices and fight for the destiny that you have already received from God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
