TOPIC : HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW JESUS

TEXT :  MATTHEW 1 : 18-21 

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Joseph the foster father of Jesus was introduced to his son by the Holy spirit.

He would have backed out of that marriage arrangement but for his divine encounter.

He would have also lost the opportunity of a life time to be forever remembered both here and in eternity as the one who played the fatherly role to our Lord.

Have you had an encounter with Jesus?

How well do you know the Lord?

You must seek to know Him.

When was the last time you heard from Him?

Can you even identify His voice?

Do you really know Jesus?

Beloved, stop whatever you are pursuing, and begin to pursue the only thing that is eternal.

May we seek to know Christ Jesus the more in Jesus mighty name.

TOPIC : THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

TEXT :  MARK 16 : 17 - 18

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

By divine ordination, every child of God is born a sign and a wonder on the earth.

The name of Jesus is the key to answered prayers.

This is the only name that commands the attention of God to intervene in the affairs of man on the earth.

The name of Jesus Christ can and will always deliver victory to you in the battles of this life if you believe.

I do not know what you are going through today, but if you will apply this powerful name of Jesus in faith, you will cut off the head of that serpent in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC : THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

TEXT :  ACTS 3  :  1 - 10

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

When the healing of this crippled man went viral, peter and the other disciples were arrested by the high priest and council.

They were asked by what power and by what name did they get the crippled man to walk?

And they answered in Acts 4 : 7-10;

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

So the high priest even know that names carry power and that everything both living and dead recognize the power in names.

Circumstances, situations and storms recognize names.

Jesus has the name that is above other names.

If right now you are in a bad situation, call that name in faith and you will receive an instant turn around.

TEXT :  PHILIPPIANS 2  : 5  - 11

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death on the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The name of Jesus is the name with the greatest power in heaven and on the earth.

It's like a loaded bazooka.

If you learn how to use it, you can never be stranded in this life.

You are not to use this name in vain.

It's a name loaded with power for our freedom from all manner of crisis.

God gave us this name because He knew that we would face all manner of situations in our lifetime.

I don't know what you are going through today, but if it has a name, it will surrender at the mention of the performing name of Jesus.

TOPIC : THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

TEXT :  ACTS 2 : 21-22

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

The name of the Lord is a saving shield.

The scripture we read said that whosoever names the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The name of Jesus saves from destruction from the kingdom of darkness.

The name of Jesus saves from poverty and lack.

Before he was born it was declared that He would save His people.

Matthew  1 : 21;

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The wages of death is sin, so Jesus saves us from sin which brings destruction, disease, poverty and shame.

Those who put their trust in this name cannot be put to shame.

I pray for you that you will learn to use the name of Jesus in this new month.
