TOPIC : THE POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

TEXT : PHILIPPIANS 2 : 5 - 11

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The name of Jesus is the name with the greatest power in heaven and on the earth.

It's like a loaded bazooka.

If you learn how to use it, you can never be stranded in this life.

You are not to use this name in vain.

It's a name loaded with power for our freedom from all manner of crisis.

God gave us this name because He knew that we would face all manner of situations in our lifetime.

I don't know what you are going through today, but if it has a name, it will surrender at the mention of the performing name of Jesus.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

May you have a God filled week in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Your Victory is already guaranteed

It is well, do not give up, with God all things are possible

TOPIC : THE POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

TEXT : ACTS 3 : 1 - 10

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

When the healing of this crippled man went viral, peter and the other disciples were arrested by the high priest and council.

They were asked by what power and by what name did they get the crippled man to walk?

And they answered in Acts 4 : 7-10;

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

So the high priest even know that names carry power and that everything both living and dead recognize the power in names.

Circumstances, situations and storms recognize names.

Jesus has the name that is above other names.

If right now you are in a bad situation, call that name in faith and you will receive an instant turn around.
