THE FORCE OF LOVE .

TEXT 1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-5

[1]IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God's love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

[2]And if I have prophetic powers (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).

[3]Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or in order that I may glory, but have not love (God's love in me), I gain nothing.

[4]Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

[5]It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

Yesterday, the whole world celebrated Valentine day.

A day set aside for the glorification and institutionalization of immorality.

A global day of lust that has gotten so many souls trapped in immorality and lost eternally to hell's consuming furnace.

The world does not have love and can not celebrate what it does not have.

Love is the first attribute of God.

The world does not know God, therefore it cannot know love.

The bible said in John 15 v 9-10  that , " As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."

Satan is fighting vigorously to use this concept of Valentine to disfigure love (Agape).

How many called their parents to say to them , I love you"?

How many called their pastors to say "pastor, I love you"?

What manner of love is this valentine?

It is devilish,

It is not from above, it is from below.

It is the wisdom of this world that corrupts.

It is the spirit of Babylon that has enslaved many to Egypt.

To all members of my pastoral team and the Devotional, I want to say that I love you.

To my tireless wife and great helper Emem, I love you.

THE FORCE OF PERSEVERANCE .

TEXT LUKE 5:17-19

[17]One of those days, as He was teaching, there were Pharisees and teachers of the Law sitting by, who had come from every village and town of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was [present] with Him to heal them.

[18]And behold, some men were bringing on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed, and they tried to carry him in and lay him before [Jesus].

[19]But finding no way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him with his stretcher through the tiles into the midst, in front of Jesus.

Dearly beloved, life is a battle. The earth itself is a war zone. You are constantly  fighting for survival and relivance.

Any time you stop fighting, you start losing. Until you are completely out of relevance.

You must persevere in the battle for your destiny.

These men obviously heard that Jesus could help their friend.

They got to the door but the crowd was so much that it was impossible to access Jesus through the door.

Some would have abandoned the assignment and said, we have tried, but not these ones.

There are people who treat God's work with so much laxity and carelessness.

If the first attempt fail, they will abandon it.

They will even tell other people trying that they are wasting their time that "we have tried it before",

Thereby partnering with the evil spirits of discouragement.

But in their business, they have been doing it for twenty years without result yet not giving up.

Beloved we are not born to fail, we are always winners.

We just cannot fail because the mighty one lives in us.

THE FORCE OF PERSEVERANCE .

TEXT LUKE 18:1-7

[1]ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).

[2]He said, In a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected or considered man.

[3]And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary.

[4]And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man,

[5]Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or at the last she come and rail on me or assault me or strangle me.

[6]Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says

[7]And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf?

Dearly beloved, the Lord wanted to teach us here that if want it desperately, nothing can stop you.

No power has been able to stop a man who wants it so badly.

This helpless woman was robbed of what was her's, even though she had no one to intervene on her behalf, she continued to pressurize the Judge.

She did this until the Judge became weary of her constant disturbances.

The Lord expects us to put up a fighting spirit like this woman, and see if we will have any need unmet.

TEXT PROVERBS 24:16

16 For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, ...

Dearly beloved, it's not because things are difficult that made you not to attempt, it is because you didn't attempt that has made life so difficult around you.

Those who never dare, never ever emerge to greatness.

If you are afraid of failing, you are not yet ready for greatness.

The road to success if filled with trials and temptations.

Their main goal is to get you to quit, but refuse to quit.

If you quit, friends and foes will mock you.

Your parents will tolerate you, even your children will never cease to ask you why.

Stop mourning and complaining about how badly life has treated you, get up and move forward, there is always room at the top.

Remember that the top is not occupied by talkers but by doers.

Until you make up your mind never to quit, your success is not in view.

No matter how many times the challenges of this world push you down, get up and keep moving, the vultures never feast on an animals that is in motion, they will keep hovering until they confirm that there is no movement then they descend on their victim.

Remember that God has assured that He will help you and lift you up no matter how many times you fail.

THE FORCE OF PERSEVERANCE .

TEXT GENESIS 26:17-22

[17]So Isaac went away from there and pitched his tent in the Valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.

[18]And Isaac dug again the wells of water which had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham; and he gave them the names by which his father had called them.

[19]Now Isaac's servants dug in the valley and found there a well of living [spring] water.

[20]And the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen, saying, The water is ours. And he named the well Esek [contention] because they quarreled with him.

[21]Then [his servants] dug another well, and they quarreled over that also; so he named it Sitnah [enmity].

[22]And he moved away from there and dug another well, and for that one they did not quarrel. He named it Rehoboth [room], saying, For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

Perseverance is the vision that fuels passion.

Nothing great has ever been achieved without perseverance.

What separates the successful and the failure is not the issue of luck or talent but the power to persevere.

Obstacles will always be there but they are only stepping stones to your manifestation.

Isaac had to dig his wells three times before his enemies gave up.

He frustrated them with his relentless spirit.

He weried them out and they gave up on him.

Many of the worlds failures never knew how close they were to success.

Proverbs 24v16,  says that a just man faileth seven times and riseth up again.

Where you are is not your resting place, it's not your final destination.

Get ready to get back to work.

You are a spirit with power of all things that are created on earth.

THE FORCE OF PERSEVERANCE .

TEXT JAMES 1:2-4

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Perseverance is a force that is created as a result of the trials that  the human spirit has successfully prevailed over.

The difference between childishness and maturity is perseverance. It is only through perseverance that you get to maturity.

We all face though times in life but some people manage to overcome their's irrespective of what life throws at them.

They reach their goals and callings not because everything fell into place but because they persevered even when everything seemed to be falling apart.

There is no promised Land without giants, however it will take persistence to dismantle every resistance threatening your manifestation.

Joseph remained focused on his calling even in the most severe, brutal and intense adversity.

Joseph, despite being betrayed by his brothers, wrongfully accused and imprisoned, he was confident that the everlasting God is faithful.

Joseph did not wake up one day as the prime minister of Egypt, it took years of perseverance before the dreams of brothers bowing down before him came to pass.

Beloved, I do not know the type of opposition you are facing now, but one thing that I know is that Hevean and earth may pass away but one jot of God's word will not fail without fullfiling the purpose for which it is sent.

Even this present season of global and national anxiety will soon pass away, in Jesus mighty name.

TOPIC : ITS TIME FOR A NEW BEGINNING

PRAYERLESSNESS IS A FAITH EXECUTIONER .

TEXT MARK 1 :35-38

35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.

37 And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.

Dearly beloved, wherever Jesus went, the crowd followed Him.

What was drawing this crowd to Him?

The Lord revealed it to us in verse 35 of our high lighted scripture for today.

Rising up a great while before day, He went out into a solitary place and prayed.

Prayer is a form of recharge.

Our spirits are like batteries, they are made up of rechargeable substances.

It becomes weak after mingling with humans for a protracted period of time.

You recharge your spirit by exposing it to a koinonia with God.

Beloved, whenever you feel weak, afraid, anxious and defeated, know it time to recharge your spirit.
