TEXT MATTHEW 6:31-33

BEING A COMMITTED CHILD OF GOD.

‭‭

 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Beloved, if you want to see what separates God's children and the godless, look at their pursuits.

If you show me what you seek after, I can tell with accuracy where you belong.

God said that He knows that we need those things the world is running after, but He does not want us to seek after them.

He said that we are divinely ordained to receive them as an addition by the force of magnetic attraction created by our commitment to God.

There are only two things a child of God is designed to seek after by default, the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Once we successfully do this, the divine law of addition will be activated automatically in our favor.

TEXT HEBREWS 11:32-34

THE EXPLOITS OF FAITH.

‭‭

[32] And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, [33] who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, [34] quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.

Gideon was an Jewish warrior who was turned into a wimp as a result of the rampaging Midianites.

He was reduced by fear to a humiliated and defeated weakling.

In the book of ‭‭Judges‬ ‭6:11‭-‬12‬, God sent His word through an Angel to Gideon.

" The angel of the Lord came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. [12] When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”

Gideon received the word of God, mixed it with faith according to HEBREWS 4:2, and was turned into a warrior who subdued kingdoms.

‭‭

"For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it."

Beloved, if you have faith the size of the grain of the mustered seed, you can command a mountain to be uprooted and be cast into the sea.

It's time to begin to put your faith to work.

Dearly beloved, the writer was overwhelmed by the exploits of these elders that it was becoming difficult to catalogue all.

Their exploits were not isolated.

They were the daily normal for these patriarchs.

Beloved, you are the offspring of these giants of faith, you can never be a dwarf of faith.

These men through faith conquered kingdoms.

They shut the mouths of lions, they administered justice.

You too can administer justice in any matter where Satan is messing up destinies around you.

It's your right in Christ Jesus.

Every bad case around you is calling for your rod to reverse the situation.

Your faith can do it.

TEXT MARK 2:3-13

THE EXPLOITS OF FAITH.

[3]And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

[4]And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

[5]When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

[6]But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

[7]Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

[8]And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

[9]Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

[10]But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

[11]I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

[12]And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Our faith is a strong magnet that attracts the help of God to us irrespective of our gender, race and geographical location.

Faith is a currency of global convertibility.

It can be used to pay for every and anything.

It is used across all markets.

It pays for chocolates the same way it pays for a sick body.

It pays for house rent, cars and even a dead marriage.

Faith releases an aroma that makes the carrier irresistible to people who are carrying their help.

Faith is irresistable.

Faith never fails.

Those men carrying their friend had an irresistable attraction that our Lord and the whole host of Heaven could not resist.

Faith is a spiritual force that is capable of changing whatever situation a person is going through or finds himself in.

Faith is the believer's last card in the battles of life.

It is what the elders used to obtain a good report in all their endeavours.

It has never failed.

The friends of the sick man had a last chance to save their friend.

They demonstrated their faith by breaking the roof of the house where Jesus was teaching a group of people.

Jesus seeing their faith, healed their friend.

Jesus said, if thou cans't believe, all things are possible to he who believes.

Do you believe?

THE PREVAILING POWER OF PRAYER.

[2]Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

[3]Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

The power of prayer is the power of God.

Your prayers move the heart and hand of God.

Because our God is the almighty, the power of prayer is limitless.

[17]Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: (Jeremiah 32:17)

The God of Heaven said "call upon me, I will answer you".

The above statement is the confidence of the believer in prayer.

The one who answers prayers encouraged us to pray to Him and expect an answer.

God never says no when our prayer is according to His will.

The bible declared very boldly in 2 Corinthians 1:19-20,

[19]For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

[20]For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Beloved, don't give up in prayer, help is on the way.

THE PREVAILING POWER OF PRAYER.

[1]And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

[2]And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

[3]And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

Beloved, transfiguration was one of the most crucial events in the life of Jesus Christ.

In this event, Elijah and Moses appeared and talked with Jesus.

These were two praying men.

They were two intercessors.

Why were they the ones needed for that very important event.

Because praying men don't die.

Their prayers keep their memorials ever before God.

They simply transmute into celestial saints.

As you begin to pray, God will begin to use you for great missions in Jesus mighty name.
