TOPIC : THE CREATIVE POWER OF PRAYER
TEXT : ACTS 2:1-4
[1]And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
[2]And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
[3]And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
[4]And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Jesus commanded His disciples to remain in the upper room until they received the Holy spirit.
They could preach, but He told them not to preach.
They could evangelize, but He forbade them.
They were to remain in the upper room praying.
They were to remain there fasting, waiting for the infilling of the Holy spirit.
What they received was dunamis and exousia, power and authority.
The scripture said in Luke 24:48-49,
[48]And ye are witnesses of these things.
[49]And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
If you neglect prayer and fasting, you do it at your peril, you will never amount to anything big in God.
Abandoning the secret place is like telling God, I can do it as good as you can.
Independent spirit is the biggest enemy of God.
Get back to prayer until your knees become as tough as the camel's knees.
