TOPIC : THEAUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN.

[25]Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

What is the church?

Whenever people hear about the church, the first thing that comes to their mind in a fancy building were christians gather on Sundays.

The church is actually more than that.

Ekklesia is the Greek word the body of Christ.

This is the body of believers where Jesus Christ is the head.

He remains the head forever.

It is the unity of divinity with humanity.

It is a bond through which the greatest amount of power is released to constantly stabilize creation.

Proverbs 27:17

"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend".

Beloved, remember that when iron sharpens iron, it does not only become sharp, it also causes sparks.

When you live in a community with other Christians, just like in your family, you will get bumped. And what spills out of you is what needs to be fixed.

We are all going through a process of fixing, none is yet perfect.

Beloved, lower your expectation of others in order to be able to accommodate them.

Even in their weak and vulnerable state, Jesus still died for them.

If Jesus would go to the cross for this frail and naked humanity, who am my not to tolerate them with all kindness?

All mighty God as I come to church today help me to understand that I am but clay.

TOPIC : THE AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN.

[25]Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

[26]For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Beloved, the Holy spirit warned us against absenting ourselves from church services.

I know that many Christians do this ignorantly, however the bible calls it a sin.

Today I will want us to focus on the gains of assembling together.

The bible said in 1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

So the mere fact that you come to the church, the bible said that you receive atonement.

Every time you join the gathering in the church, you receive forgiveness for your sins.

In the book of Matthew 18:20, the bible said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

When we come together, the Lord Jesus said that He comes down and becomes part of us.

One of our greatest prayer points is for God to visit us.

Do you know what?

Every meeting day in the church, He visits us, unfortunately many miss these visitations.

I pray for the eyes of your understanding to be opened in Jesus mighty name.

TEXT 1 PETER 2:9

TOPIC : THE AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN.

[9]But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Beloved, the Lord called you peculiar, which means different from the normal.

It also means unique.

You are not the everyday person, you are special.

The bible declared that you are a royal priesthood,  God's own purchased, a special person who is made to manifest all the characteristics of our God.

You are a policeman from Heaven.

Your core duty is to frustrate, arrest and punish all the agents of the kingdom of darkness by liberating everyone bound by hell.

If you are not doing these things, you are not an authentic christian.

Are you an authentic christian?

TEXT JOHN 10:34-35

TOPIC : THE AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN.

[34]Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

[35]If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

The bible talking about the begining, said that God made us in His own image and likeness.

Could this be true?

God cannot lie, He actually made us to be a masterpiece of His wisdom.

In Ephesians 2:10, the bible described us this way,

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are not an after thought in creation, we are the center-piece of God's creation.

He created us to hold the forth for Him.

He created us to be His representatives in this dimension of God's creation.

In the book of Psalms 82:5-7, the wise prophet called us gods.

[5]They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

[6]I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

[7]But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

The psalmist was pussled at the disaster that these gods were going through as a result of ignorance.

They do not have the slightest idea of who they are.

If they knew, they would have been working in victory.

It is time to begin to move in absolute assurance of who we are.

As you do, you will also begin to see God's hand moving in your direction in Jesus name.

[18]Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

[19]Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

[20]For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Dearly beloved, the bible said that if two of you on earth agree  about anything and everything, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven.

Have you ever seen such covenant of answered prayers?

Do you understand what Jesus is saying here?

He is describing to you the power that is released by the agreement of believers.

The only power that is greater than the power of the eclesia is the power of the trinity.

The church is the body of Christ, therefore whenever we come together Christ being the head of the body is there.

When we agree concerning any matter on this earth, the power generated compels every other power to bow.

Whenever you are dealing with a tough issue, find a child of God and go into agreement.

Heaven will come down to demonstrate that the word of God can not return back to Him without performing it's assigned task.

[14]And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

[15]And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

Beloved, many christians are living lives that are below theirs.

They are not living the christian life.

They are really not living the true christian lives.

They live less than the  unbelievers.

They do not understand the type of technology that is buried inside of them.

Everything is at their beck and call but they do not understand.

They carry power that they have never used while they go about begging for power.

Beloved, you carry a dynamo inside of you yet you are defeated.

You can command creater things than Joshua did.

Joshua was in the slaughter of his enemies, it was getting late and he knew that once it becomes dark, he would not be able to conclude the conquest.

What did he do?

He commanded the sun to stand still until he completed his conquest.

Joshua did not have Zoe in him.

He just believed that God will honor his prayers.

Imagine what a man with Zoe can do?

The day you received Christ, He empowered you to command the devil and all his lieutenants, and you know the good news, they must obey you.

Dearly beloved, you were given birth to by your biological parents, but you are born of God.

You are a product designed by God Himself.

You are programmed through your DNA to be able to do all things through a power called ChristOS that operates in you.

ChristOS is your operating system running in you.

You are equipped to live a higher life in this world.

You are not created to be defeated by any force, situation or condition.

You have Zoe living inside of you.

In the old testament days, the children of Israel carry the ark of God from the temple to wherever they face opposition and adversity.

The ark which is God's presence fought for them, now you have the temple of God inside of you.

[16]Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?(1 Corinthians 3:16).

Now that you know who's  baby you are, refuse to live like a begger and a failure in this world.

[17]And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

[18]And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

Ananias entered into where Paul was lodged and layed his hand on him and declared him healed of blindness.

The same moment, the force that followed his words cleared the scales that blocked his sight.

These were real events not fictions.

The beautiful new is that Jesus left the power to function with this unction with us.

If only you will develop a hunger for the miraculous, God will not hesitate to feel you and you will be a marvel to your world.

[1]And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

[2]Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

[3]And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

[4]Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

How could a man preach a sermon and five thousand men receive salvation.

Remember that there was no way to amplify their voices.

How did they even hear him?

There was no hall to contain such number of people, so they were under the vagaries of the weather.

There were powers which they tapped into and controlled that yielded to their authority in Christ.

They did not just come out and start talking. They carried life and were releasing life.

They carried living water and were releasing them into the atmosphere.

Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Whenever you have an outreach, remember that you are carrying rivers of living water, do not forget to unleash them.

[10]That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

[11]And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus the son of God was also God on the earth.

He truly didn't need any name, power or authority for Himself.

He purchased the name with power for us.

Jesus knew that we will one day need this power to address all our adversaries on the earth.

"[1]And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease."(Matthew 10:1).

Every thing Jesus received, He received for us so we can now go about our lives and be able to rebuke every adverse condition.

Now we can command all raging storms to calm in the name of Jesus Christ.

TOPIC : THE OVERWHELMING POWER OF A WITNESS

[36]And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

[37]And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

[38]And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

[39]And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Philip left the Ethiopian eunuch by a transport system that is called bi-location.

He practically disappeared and appeared in Azotus.

The Ethiopian eunuch did not need further conviction that there was power in this new faith. 

The miraculous is our natural environment.

We are supposed to be living there not visiting it once in a while.

When a fish is out of water, it's performance level immediately drops almost to zero level.

As you realize who you are, you should begin to create your own atmosphere for manifestation.

It shall indeed always be according to your faith.

[17]And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

[18]They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Dearly beloved, the bible recorded that the above signs shall follow those that believe.

Who believe in what?

That Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He is God.

These ones who believe will speak in new tongues in His name.

They shall carry dangerous Charms dropped at their doors by wicked men with their hands.

If they drink poison, it shall nourish their bodies.

They shall lay hands on the sick and the sick shall be well.

Are you doing these things?

If you are not, you do not believe.

It is not the exclusives of any select group.

Listen, to their answer when they returned from their first evangelical outing having not been with Him for up to a year.

"And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name"(Luke 10:17).

Beloved, if you believe and begin to enforce your belief, you will begin to receive mind boggling results.

Go out today and witness Jesus by demonstrating power.

TOPIC : THE OVERWHELMING POWER OF A WITNESS

[5]Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

[6]And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

[7]For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

[8]And there was great joy in that city.

Philip went down to Samaria oozing with power.

The power he commanded converted the whole city.

The power was so intense that a whole city gave their lives to Christ. 

The bible said that when they saw the miracles, they believed.

We must all aspire to ascend to that level and to do great witnessing for our Lord in Jesus mighty name.

As we tell the stories of what Jesus did, let us also command every insult by Satan and his cohorts to bow in the name of Jesus.

As we fearlessly begin to do this, mighty results will be recorded.

[33]And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.

[34]And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

[35]And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.

Dearly beloved peter was at Lydda, there was a certain man who had been sick for eight years.

He was totally paralyzed.

When peter met him, he commanded him to be made well in the name of Jesus Christ.

The bible declared that he was immediately healed.

Peter became a credible witness to the miracles that Jesus Christ performed in His life time.

He validated what the scriptures wrote that Jesus Christ did while He was on the earth.

Saron and all the inhabitants of Lydda who witnessed this miracle turned to the Lord.

Peter did not have to preach to anyone.

Power did it all.

Power is very good because the cost of powerlessness is terribly high.

If you refuse to go for power, Satan will make fun of you.

Decide today that this is the last day any demon on assignment will terrorise you again.

[8]But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

A witness is an evidence provider, he is a proof producer.

Jesus said that we shall be proof producers that He was a miracle worker.

He wants us to provide evidence that in His time on earth, He raised the only son of the widow of Nain.

He wants us to prove that He raised Lazarus from the grave after four days.

How can you prove to people that He calmed the raging storm at the sea of Galilee?

Before He ascended, He gathered the disciples and told them to remain in one place until they receive the promise of the father, power.

Without this power, the whole scripture would be like tales by moonlight.

Have you ever tried preaching the gospel to someone without the power of the Holy spirit?

It will be nothing but arguments.

Some times, the unbeliever will even have superior arguments.

When peter and James healed the crippled man at the church gate called beautiful, they didn't need to preach anything other than that " this man here is made whole by the power of the resurrected Jesus".

There is a cost for power.

Untill you get it, refuse to rest. 

If you rest, demons will one day ask you, who are you?

Demons enjoy embarrassing believers who have not paid the high cost of power.

If you must be a credible witness for the one who died for you, you must die also to self.

TEXT JOHN 19:39-42 

TOPIC : THE GRAVE WAS TRULY EMPTY

[39]And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.

[40]Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

[41]Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.

[42]There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

Nicodemus who came by night to see Jesus and received a life-changing message, appeared at this very threatening period.

He came with about a hundred pounds weight of aloes and myrrh.

It was very critical for the preparation of the Lord's body for burial.

At this time most of the disciples were scattered and were in a very hopeless state.

Their hope and future was gone they all thought.

Some were doubted that he would resurrect.

It was a period of very heavy anxiety, but God kept some men for this very crucial role.

When the story of this present move of God is written, will there be a line or a sentence written about your exploits for the Lord. 

Will you be remembered for risking your life for the gospel or will it be anathema maranatha?

God forbid.

TEXT REVELATION 1:17-18 

TOPIC : THE GRAVE IS EMPTY AND THE DEBT FULLY PAID

[17]And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

[18]I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

John was at Patmos when he heard the voice of the Lord, Revelations 1:10-13,

[10]I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

[12]And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

[13]And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

All the great religious founders of the world are all dead and buried.

 Jesus Christ is the only one that conquered death.

Guatama Buddha died and was buried.

Muhammed died and was buried.

Jesus of Oyingbo said that he would resurrect after three days, he disappointed both his disciples and his harem of women.

Olumba Olumba claimed that he was omnipresent but when he died, his body was consumed by the worms, he did not resurrect.

The bible in 1 Corinthians 15:5-7 declared thus.

[5]And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

[6]After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

[7]After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles."

Beloved, we have a living God.

He is truly alive and is still showing Himself daily to those who are faithfully serving Him.

TEXT LUKE 23:39-43 

TOPIC : THE GRAVE IS EMPTY AND THE DEBT FULLY PAID

[39]And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

[40]But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

[41]And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

[42]And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

[43]And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

This felon by the right hand side of Jesus on the cross lived a terrible life of sin all his life.

During his last moments on earth, he was honest about his case. He judged himself and condemned himself but asked the son of God to remember him in His kingdom.

Jesus seeing his honesty and purity of heart forgave him and told him that "today, you shall be with me in paradise".

This man breathed his last, then opened his eyes and saw himself in paradise.

He was as amazed as the angels who had his file.

When they brought his file, they saw that it was clean without an incident.

What happened?

The precious blood of the Lamb had taken away his sins.

Hear what the scripture said in John 1 v 29,

" The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

This man did not attend Sunday school, he did not attend believer's class.

He only approached the Lord with a clean heart. He knew he did not qualify for what he had asked for, but mercy saw him through.

I pray that in this period of mercy, the mercy of our resurrected Christ will see you through in Jesus mighty name.
