[25]Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
What is the church?
Whenever people hear about the church, the first thing that comes to their mind in a fancy building were christians gather on Sundays.
The church is actually more than that.
Ekklesia is the Greek word the body of Christ.
This is the body of believers where Jesus Christ is the head.
He remains the head forever.
It is the unity of divinity with humanity.
It is a bond through which the greatest amount of power is released to constantly stabilize creation.
Proverbs 27:17
"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend".
Beloved, remember that when iron sharpens iron, it does not only become sharp, it also causes sparks.
When you live in a community with other Christians, just like in your family, you will get bumped. And what spills out of you is what needs to be fixed.
We are all going through a process of fixing, none is yet perfect.
Beloved, lower your expectation of others in order to be able to accommodate them.
Even in their weak and vulnerable state, Jesus still died for them.
If Jesus would go to the cross for this frail and naked humanity, who am my not to tolerate them with all kindness?
All mighty God as I come to church today help me to understand that I am but clay.
