TEXT LUKE 8:22-25
CLASSIC
TOPIC : STORMS ONLY COME TO PASS.
[22]Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
[23]But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
[24]And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
[25]And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
The scripture is filled with "and it came to pass".
It occurred 120 times in the king James version of the bible, starting with Genesis chapter 4 verse 14.
There are so many types of storms the occur in life, but they all come to pass.
There is no storm that can remain permanent, no matter how strong and stubborn the storm may be.
What to do in the middle of the storm.
When a boat runs into a storm, the captain does everything possible to be the passengers calm.
If many people panic and move to one side, the boat will start sinking from that side.
So resist the temptation to panic.
While in a storm, focus on survival instead of stopping the storm.
Some storms can not be stopped, they must go through their circles.
If you focus on stopping them, you will be distracted, exhausted and finally drowned.
Only focus on survival.
Peter was used to Jesus's performance that he forgot that He was present in the storm.
So many believers forget our Lord's abiding presence and His covenant of protection once in a storm,
The bible said in Deuteronomy 31:8,
"And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."
I pray that you will come out of this present storm in Jesus name.
God bless you.
With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.
Your case is not bigger than God.
May you have a God filled day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Your Victory is already guaranteed
It is well, do not give up, with God all things are possible
