TOPIC : THE LIFTING FORCE OF GRATITUDE
[9]Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
[10]Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.
[11]Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
[12]For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.
The sin of ingratitude is considered as one of the worst sins in the bible.
The reason for this is that an insatiable spirit would do anything no matter how terrible to feel the vacuum of lack created by Satan in his life.
King David had everything he wanted in life.
He had more women than he could satisfy as the king but ingratitude to God led him to snatching Bathsheba and ultimately killing Uriah the husband.
I have observed both in the church and ministry, the undermining, backstabbing and betrayals many suffer in the hand of ungrateful sons and daughters.
I have seen those who broke off and put a church in the same street to compete with their fathers.
Many pastors bleed to the alters every Sunday as a result of what people who they raised did to them.
Some have suffered extrem depression because of deep stabs delivered by people they risked their comfort and reputation to save.
But there is a way out of the repercussion and consequences of these wickedness.
You need to return to those you have hurt and apologise to them.
It is never too late, today, take your phone and begin to search for the contacts of those you have bruised.
When you find them, begin to make amend because, it may be too late.
God bless you.
