TEXT 1 CORINTHIANS 10:9-11
CLASSIC
TOPIC : THE LIFTING FORCE OF GRATITUDE
[9]We should not tempt the Lord [try His patience, become a trial to Him, critically appraise Him, and exploit His goodness] as some of them did–and were killed by poisonous serpents;
[10]Nor discontentedly complain as some of them did–and were put out of the way entirely by the destroyer
[11]Now these things befell them by way of a figure [as an example and warning to us]; they were written to admonish and fit us for right action by good instruction, we in whose days the ages have reached their climax (their consummation and concluding period).
There are some of God's children who suffer from hyper entitlement syndrome.
The people believe that they aught to have everything they have and more.
They forget that there are believers who are holier, more dedicated and more prayerful who do not enjoy the level of mercies at their disposal.
They simply take what they have received for granted.
They go on grumbling and complaining about every little discomfort.
The bible said that this type of people were overthrown in the wilderness because of their murmuring.
The scripture also stated that their fate should serve as an warning for us.
Glorify Him by being early in all services because He was there waiting before you casually strolled in.
Glorify Him with your gold and silver.
Many people will do everything for God until they are called to surrender their money.
These ones have consistently failed the giving test, without knowing that their selfishness is the reason why their lives look like an evil forest.
It's time to repent.
God bless you.
With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.
Your case is not bigger than God.
May you have a God filled day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Your Victory is already guaranteed
It is well, do not give up, with God all things are possible
(Please be a blessing to seven persons by sending to them devotionals)
