TEXT : PSALM 37:23-25
BEING A COMMITTED CHILD OF GOD.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
God does not forsake His own.
He takes pride in delivering to the uttermost those who come to Him through His son Jesus Christ.
When it looks as though they have been finished, He lifts them up in order to demonstrate to them that it pays to serve Him.
He remembers them even at old age.
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; (PSALM 62:14-15)
The righteous is not forsaken in his sickbed.
The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. !Psalm 41:3)
Finally the old prophet/ the psalmist declared that he had carefully observed all through his life, but he never saw the righteous forsaken nor the children of the righteous ending up badly.
I believe him, do you believe?
