TEXT : PROVERBS 13:20
WHAT ARE YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS.
"He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."
Beloved, where you got to this year is the direct result of your company.
You can only get to the level of the company you keep.
Your company determines your mindset because birds of the same feather flock together.
Some people walked alone through this year that is about ending.
It's equally very dangerous to walk alone.
The Bible declared in Jeremiah 17 v 9 that the heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it.
God is simply telling you here that this your heart can deceive you.
Your heart can tell you that you are doing the right thing when you are actually doing the wrong thing.
As you prepare to enter the new Year, beyond your resolutions would be for you to cultivate a kind of friendship that would be willing to risk your affection to tell you those things that will help you even when it is very painful.
This is why wise people surround themselves with wise counsellors tremble at their counsels.
If you must succeed in the new Year, pursue these counselors with all the energy in your bones.
If you surround yourself with wise counsellors, by this time next year, you would have made a quantum leap in your life.
