STOP WHO IS A CHRISTIAN ?

SPECIAL EDITION

JOHN 1:12-13 

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The followers of Jesus were first called Christians at Antioch.

They called them Christians because their lives resembled the life that Jesus Christ lived while on the earth.

Does it mean that one becomes a Christian by a behavioral change?

The answer is know.

If behavioral change happens as a result of the operation of new spirit that is dwelling in the person then that is good.

Because there are people who have good conducts by personal discipline,

Who do not believe in Jesus Christ.

A Christian is one who received the sacrifice of Jesus and has become a child of God because he/she believes.

These ones are empowered to live the exact life of God on the earth.

They are signs and wonders in this world.

God initiates things into this world through such people.

Beloved, if you are a child of God, you are a living wonder and you will be delivering proofs.

STOP WAITING FOR GOD

ACTS 13:8-11

But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,

And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

After Apostle Paul and Barnabas were separated,

Apostle Paul preaching, came to Paphos and was frustrated by a sorcerer whose name was Bar-jesus.

While Paul preached to Sergius Paulus, who was a great leader in Paphos,

Elymas, or Bar-jesus use sorcery to withstand them.

He was making effort to turn away the Sergius Paulus from the faith.

Then Paul filled with the Holy Spirit commanded him to become blind for a season.

And immediately, he could only see darkness and needed someone to lead him by the hand.

When the Leader saw what happened to Elymas who was also called Bar-jesus, he believed in the gospel.

Apostle Paul understood his authority in Christ.

He knew that he had power over all demons.

He demonstrated his authority and contained the rascality of the devil.

God is always waiting for you to demonstrate your authority over all the devils who are frustrating and challenging your sonship in Him.

STOP WAITING FOR GOD

LUKE 9:1-2

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Some believers are waiting for God to do what He has equipped them to do.

They are waiting for God to come and chase away the demons tormenting them.

They are waiting for Him to come and heal that disease and to come and change that ugly situation in their lives.

The unfortunate thing here is that God is also waiting for them to do what He has already empowered them to do.

God is so responsible that He respects the job description of each and every one of us.

In our anchor scriptures, He called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

God is not overbearing, He would let you do your job.

Many believers have been killed while they thought that they were waiting for God to come and deliver them.

God was actually waiting for them as mature children to deal with those issues that finally took them out of this world.

Beloved, there is nothing that can defeat a child of God.

He has a kind of power that overwhelms the world.

His faith is equal to the task in every situation.

LUKE 8:11

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Words are seeds, when we speak, we are planting them.

We must be careful about the kind of seeds we are planting because on the day of harvest, they will be overwhelming in quantity.

Seeds are tough, they are very resilient in their battles to survive.

Have you not seen grains of beans and maize germinating by the road side, defying all the odds against them.

That's how our words are.

They are ruggedly resilient, they often must locate you with the harvest of your words.

 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease(Genesis 8:22).

Beloved, the beautiful thing about your life is that you can change your circumstances.

If you do not like the life you have now, you can talk yourself out of it.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, this means that God gave us options to pull out off any disadvantage.

I see you coming out of your present challenge in Jesus mighty name.

TOPIC : YOU CAN HAVE WHAT YOU SAY

EZEKIEL 37:9-10

Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Prophet Ezekiel, was brought into the valley of dry bones.

Dead men, dead destinies, dead hopes and battered dreams.

They were not just dead, they were bones, they were not just bones, the bones were disjointed.

Each bone was on its own.

They were scattered and would need beyond a DNA to assemble them.

This was the valley were God brought him and asked him to prophecy.

He would have asked God,  "prophecy what?".

To prophecy does not mean to begin to mumble strange and inaudible things.

It means to declare according to God's word, what you want to see.

What you are seeing maybe horrible, but keep declaring what you want to see and very soon, you will begin to see it.

Ezekiel prophesied as he was commanded and all of a sudden, unbelievable changes began to happen.

This is how it will be also with you when you begin to open your mouth.

Once you open it, God will fill it up with forcible words.

Its your time to overthrow your enemies by the use of your spoken words.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

The Lord said to them, you are cleansed by the word i have spoken to you.

This clearly demonstrates that the word has the power to cleanse.

It can cleanse polluted and sin desecrated destiny.

It can reverse  generational failures and traditional cures.

Sanctify them by thy truth  thy word is truth(John 17:17).

Every word from God possesses the power of sanctification.

It perfects whatever it comes in contact with.

Our words are not different if we become mindful of how we manage our words.

Our words possess the same abilities with our Father's words because we are His children.

As we begin to understand the dimension of power in our words, we will begin to take our words more seriously.

MATTHEW 12:36-37

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Idle words here refer to careless words.

It refers to wasteful and valueless.

Dearly beloved, the word of God in the mouth of a believer is the same thing with God's word in His mouth.

The word we speak carry creative energy.

It contains the life of God and sufficient power to alter any situation to your advantage.

The word of God contains the intention of God and His plans for His children.

God does not expect us to waste our words because He does not waste His.

God is not a talkative, He is not wasteful, He confers value on His word.

He expects His children to emulate Him.

The results we receive when we declare a thing is simply because of our confidence in God to perform the counsel of His messengers.

When next you have to issue commands, issue them with an understanding that your desired results must accompany your instructions.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Dearly beloved, God and His word is the same.

He created the whole earth with His word.

His words carry creative energy.

Whatever He says becomes.

The Bible said that all things were made by Him, that is His word, and that without His word, was nothing created.

The statement above imply that if God could create nothing  without his word, you can also create nothing without your word.

Therefore, if you want to create anything in your life, you will begin to speak.

If also you wish to correct anything in your life, you will also begin to speak.

You can actually have what you say if you believe.

Beloved, your words are not ordinary, they are spirit and they are power.

GENESIS 1:1-3

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The Almighty God created the most beautiful piece of estate ever, only to discover that it was in a very bad shape.

He did not abandon the project, did not call angels to help him correct the errors.

He simply began to talk to the earth that He created.

He began to correct it with His mouth.

He declared that there should be light where darkness had inhabited, and there was light.

When you meet similar challenges in your life, God expects you to handle it the same way He handled His own.

He doesn't expect you to run to prophets, seers and diviners.

He expects you to begin to speak.

Whenever you begin to speak, you will begin to see changes.

Beloved, you can prophecy ahead of time concerning what you want to see.

Whatever you do not want to be the reality of your life is changeable, this includes the type of life you want to live.

The biggest challenge we face when we begin to try to alter our circumstances by the use of our spoken words is that nothing seem to be changing.

However, we don't live by sight, we live by faith, (Habakuk 2:4).

Refuse to accept the reality as observed by your physical eyes.

There is another eye that sees beyond the physical realities on the ground.

Your mouth is not for seasonal use but for daily use in a diligent pursuit to change your destiny.

No man has ever risen beyond his confessions.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Beloved, God does not permit His words to fail.

He does not allow them to return to Him void, without fulfilling the purpose for which they were sent out.

He watches over His words to see that they do not fail.

The great God who made you in His image expects you to imitate Him by watching over your own words.

  Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children.(Ephesians 5:1)

Another version said that we should be imitators of God.

You follow God by imitating Him.

God takes His words very seriously, do you casualize your own words.

Whenever you casualize your words, you become a casualty.

It is my prayer that you will become very careful with your words from today in the name of Jesus Christ.

For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

You are the carbon copy of your heavenly Father.

He made you in His image and likeness and when you received Christ Jesus, you received His DNA.

This DNA empowered you to receive Zoe, the life of God into your recreated spirit.

From the moment you received this life, you become an authorized life quickening agent.

Just as the father raises the dead, you the son can also raise the dead.

Beloved, you are also empowered to execute judgement on your enemies.

Start declaring judgement over whatever has become a source of concern for your life.
