TOPIC : THE PREVAILING FORCE OF TRUST

TEXT : JOB 16 : 1- 6,11,13 &14

1 Then Job answered and said,

2 I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.

3 Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee that thou answerest?

4 I also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.

5 But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage your grief.

6 Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased?

11 God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.

13 His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.

14 He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.

The above were the lamentations of a man whose faith seem not to have produced the desired results yet his trust was unquestionable.

He had lost all the things that we pride ourselves as the material manifestations of answered prayers.

At this point, his friends had started asking him to search  himself very well for hidden sins.

These sins were the reasons God isn't answering.

Materialism is actually a religion of the flesh. Consummated by Lucifer and his demons.

Delivered by pastors who are hostages of hell, in a theater that is called the church.

Job refused to equate mamonic  materialism with spiritual salvation.

He decided to trust until the end.

His reward arrived before the end.

His patience is legendary, and was quoted in the book of James.

May we cease to see our God as a free supermarket that yield to our vocal codes.

The game is still TRUST AND OBEY
