    TEXT: JOHN 17:1-7

  JESUS' DOCTRINAL LOYALTY

Jesus is our perfect example.

His doctrinal loyalty to his Father was total. He stayed with his Father and carried out all the works his Father assigned for Him to do.

To finish the works his Father gave him to do Jesus saw his Father's work as his food. Jesus said unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work - John 4:34.

He finally finished his Father's work.

I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do - John 17:4.

In discharging his work, Jesus made sure that he pleased his Father. And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him - John 8:29.

In a bid to please his Father, Jesus decided to do his Father's will. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me - John 6:38.

Jesus seeks approval for whatever he does. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me - John 5:30.

Know that, a son reaps what he sows today in his relationship with his father, when he becomes a father tomorrow.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

TEXT: GALATIANS 1:1-12

    DOCTRINAL UNIFORMITY

It means the doctrine or the message that a loyal son propagates should not be different from that of his father.

This means that a loyal son should first of all be a faithful disciple of his master.

Loyalty to your father is to know his doctrinal persuasion and be adapted to it. You don't have to hear other ministers or read their books and condemn your father because he doesn't minister like them.

Your father may be concentrating on his godly assignment.

So, be content with your master's doctrinal concentration as a loyal son.

Every man of God ministers the kingdom gospel with his doctrinal concentration different from that of others.

To be loyal to your master means to hold on to his doctrine and propagate it. Paul became mad at the Galatians because they shifted their focus from his doctrine to another. I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel - Galatians 1:6. Loyalty will keep you connected and committed to your father's doctrine.

Never forget this, common doctrine gives birth to common identity.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not

 bigger than God.

May you have a God filled day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

TEXT: 1 CHRONICLES 22:1-12

       VISIONAL CONTINUITY

King David had a burden to build a magnificent temple for the Lord.  The house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries - 1 Chronicles 22:5.

Despite his burning desire to build the temple, God rejected his offering. But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars: you shall not build an house unto my name, because you have shed much blood upon the earth in my sight - 1 Chronicles 22:8.

When Solomon was enthroned, David saw the fulfillment of his vision of building the temple in him and said: *Now, my son, the LORD be with you; and prosper you, and build the house of the LORD your God, as he has said of you - 1 Chronicles 22:11.

David died died without seeing the fulfilment of his vision, However, Solomon ensured the vision was concluded. Then said Solomon,

Some fathers started projects but the lack of Solomons to continue them, truncated the Projects.

Every  fathers' major cry has always been,  ' who will continue with  my vision'

Never forget that where there is lack of loyal sons, progress is truncated.

God bless you.

TEXT: 1 KINGS 19:14-21

       VISIONAL CONTINUITY

Let us exermine the loyalty of Elisha.

God told Elijah to anoint Elisha to take over from him. 1 Kings 19:16.

At the time God asked Elijah to anoint Elisha as a prophet in his room, he already had a servant he left at Judah.  1 Kings 19:3.

The question now is why should God choose Elisha over Elijah's own chosen servant?

It is likely that the following loyal qualities in Elisha provoked God to choose him over the first servant. It is also very important to weigh these qualities found in Elisha against those in the one we see  as our successors.

1. He was forceful.

Elijah wanted to leave Elisha at Gilgal like he left the first servant at Judah but Elisha unlike the first servant forcefully disagreed. And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel - 2 Kings 2:2.

2. He was resolute

When Elisha encountered Elijah he destroyed all his farming implements and followed Elijah fully. And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him - 1Kings 19:21.

3. He was a persuaded follower

Some student prophets tried to discourage Elisha three times to stop following Elijah but he was persuaded to follow his master to the end. That's what loyalty means. And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Know you that the LORD will take away your master from your head to day? And he said, Yes, I know it; hold you your peace - 2 Kings 2:3.

Never forget this, loyalty is following your master even when all others give up.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

TEXT: NUMBERS 14:1-9

        VISIONAL CONTINUITY

Visional continuity simply means whatever vision a father has should be pursued and  continued by loyal sons.

God gives a vision to a father and expects his sons to pursue it and continue with it, until its total fulfilment.

Sons are expected to carry out the mandate given to their fathers. God called Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt.

However he was withdrawn before the fulfilment of that vision. But God's vision didn't die with him because he had a loyal son who took over from him.

Moses did not appoint Joshua as an assistant, yet God called him an assistant upon the ticket of his loyalty to Moses.

God knows those who fake loyalty.

a) Joshua fought battle with Amalekites in obedience to Moses.

b) Joshua fasted with Moses twice for forty days and forty nights without excuse.

c) Joshua was among the twelve men that were chosen from each tribe to go and spy out the promised land.

d) Only Joshua and Caleb courageously told the people that despite the threatening challenges, that their God was able to help them possess the land.

e) Joshua was always at the service of Moses.

Never forget this, a loyal follower always becomes a celebrated leader.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

GENERATIONAL PROGRESSION

TEXT: 2 KINGS 2:1-15

TEXT: LUKE 22:24-30

God rewards the loyalty of sons. Loyalty exalts. Loyalty promotes. God told Moses to put some of his honour on Joshua his loyal servant. And you shall put some of your honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient  - Numbers 27:20.

Joshua just found himself wearing the robe of honour without struggle on the ticket of his loyalty to Moses his father. He also became a wisdom bank when Moses laid hands on him. And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him - Deuteronomy 34:9.

Joshua did nothing to induce the Israelites to obey him. The wisdom he inherited from Moses his father through the laying on of his hands invoked their loyalty to him. And the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses - Deuteronomy 34:9.

Jesus rewarded the loyalty of his apostles. You are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father has appointed unto me; That you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel - Luke 22:28-30.

Apostle Paul commended the loyalty of Timothy. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. But you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel - Philippians 2:21-22.

As a result of Timothy's loyalty, Paul his father layed his hand upon him and deposited spiritual gifts in him. Wherefore I put you in remembrance that you stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands - 2 Timothy 1:6.

Some feel they are loyal to God and that's okay. They have been  deceived.

On this planet earth, God will always use someone higher than you to lift you up. Remember that whenever you rebel against a father, God puts you in the class of satan who rebelled against him.

Never forget, having someone higher than you creates a space for you to keep climbing higher.

God bless you.

GENERATIONAL PROGRESSION

TEXT: 2 KINGS 2:1-15

GENERATIONAL PROGRESSION

Fathers have divine mandates to pass on their blessings to their sons or like Jacob did. All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spoke unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them - Genesis 49:28.

Fathers pass on their blessings to their sons on the ticket of their loyalty to them.

It must be understood that God desires to bless you on earth. But he has to do it through a father that you are loyal to.

God gave the earth to the children of men. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth has he given to the children of men - Psalms 115:16. Because of this fact, God relies on what earthly fathers declare over their sons.

Saul permitted God to enthroned David by saying to David: And now, behold, I know well that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand - 1 Samuel 24:20.

An underling has to provoke an overlying to bless him or enrage him to curse him. Issac for instance fixed the price for his blessing. He told Esau his son: go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless you before I die - Genesis 27:3-4. Watch it! He said: such as I love The blessing is based on doing what your father loves.

Where others think that God must relate with them with no reference to their father, is where they get it wrong. Your father's God is your God. When Elisha took the mantle he received from Elijah his spiritual father, as the only proof of receiving a double portion of Elijah's spirit, he tore his own clothes apart.  He took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces - 2 Kings 2:12.

When he  came to Jordan he mentioned the God of Elijah and  did what he saw Elijah his father did. And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over - 2 Kings 2:14.

Know this, a shooting branch on a tree grows faster than a planted seed.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

May you have a God filled day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

GENERATIONAL PROGRESSION

TEXT: GENESIS 49:1-7

Using God's principles, the fate of sons are determined by their fathers.

God placed Reuben as the head in Jacob's family to enjoy the double portion of his father's blessings.

Jacob disagreed because of Reuben's disloyalty to him. Jacob changed the order and gave the leadership to Judah and the blessings of birthright to Joseph. For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:) - 1 Chronicles 5:2.

God accepted Jacob's decision and routed Jesus the chief ruler through Judah instead of Reuben.

Elisha determined the fate of Gehazi when he became disloyal. Elisha pronounced a curse on Gehazi that ended his destiny.

Spiritual father can still do it today.

Jacob cursed Simeon and Levi and said: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel - Genesis 49:7. The result of this curse was that Levi's inheritance in Canaan, was scattered among all the tribes. And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs - Joshua 21:3.

Fathers have the backing of God to deny you of what is yours if you are disloyal to them. Even if they keep quiet, God punishes disloyalty.

Know this, disloyalty to a father is destiny forsaken.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

TEXT: GENESIS 26:1-6

God lays a threefold foundation for the loyalty of a protege, namely generational progression, visional continuity and doctrinal uniformity. Let's examine these one after the other.

GENERATIONAL PROGRESSION

the God of Isaac: the land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed - Genesis 28:13.

When he revealed himself to Moses he said: I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God - Exodus 3:6.

When he revealed himself to Isaac, he didn't say I am your God. He said I am the God of your father Abraham. When he revealed himself to Jacob he didn't say I am your God but said I am the God of Abraham and Isaac. To Moses he said I am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

God specifically told Isaac that he would bless him not because he obeyed him but because Abraham his father obeyed him. *Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you... Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws - Genesis 26:3,5.*

The import of this  revelation is that God wants an underling to know that he is relating with him on the merit of his father. Without his his father, the underling has no God and that God has nothing to do with the underling.

Because God relates with us through our fathers or superiors Jesus says: without me you can do nothing - John 15:5. This means God has no regard for us without Jesus. Even for God to hear us we have to go to him in Jesus' name. *Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you - John 16:23.

Know this, if you dishonour your father, you'll forfeit the benefits, you will then achieve based on merits.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

Serving your superior is a sure way to succeed him

The Lord invited these leaders to come with Moses to the mountain.. And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship you afar off - Exodus 24:1.

Joshua wasn't among these leaders, but his unflinching loyalty to Moses made him to go up to the mountain with Moses when even the elders were denied. And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God - Exodus 24:13.

God having acknowledged the loyalty of Joshua to Moses, nominated him to succeed Moses. Then he told Moses to encourage him. But Joshua the son of Nun, which stands before you, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it - Deuteronomy 1:38.

Know this, service to your superior is your licence to succeed him.

TEXT: GENESIS 39:1-9

A superior makes a loyal protege his companion

God rewarded Jesus' loyalty to him by being with him.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him - John 8:29.

Because God was always with  Jesus, He moved in the strange dimensions of miracles. Jesus of Nazareth... went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him - Acts 10:38.

God's presence with Joseph made him prosper. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand - Genesis 39:3.

Joseph kept God's presence by staying away from sins.

how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? - Genesis 39:9.

King Saul was afraid of David because he saw that God was with him.

And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul - 1 Samuel 18:12. God's presence is the elixir for one who is surrounded by enemies.

And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him - 2 Samuel 5:10. Greatness in God's kingdom is a function of God's presence.

God's presence is acquired by been loyal to him.

LOYALTY OF A PROTEGE PROVOKES FRIENDSHIP.

TEXT : LUKE 11:5-13

It is important at this point to state that friendship is developed and maintained.

While it easy to make friends, it is a tasking keeping them.

Understanding the purpose of each  friendship, helps us fight for them.

A friend loves at all times. A friend loves at all times - Proverbs 17:17.

A loyal friend is never tired of sacrificing . Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends - John 15:13.

A loyal friend sticks close to you. There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother - Proverbs 18:24.

If you keep your friends, you will pay the price of loyalty.

A man that has friends must show himself friendly - Proverbs 18:24.

You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you - John 15:14. To be a loyal friend to God for instance, you need to read the scriptures so you can know what God demands from you.

Realize that loyalty to a friend is the acid test for loyal friendship.

God bless you.

LOYALTY OF A PROTEGE PROVOKES FRIENDSHIP

TEXT: JOHN 15:13-21

A master upgrades a loyal protege into a friend

The chart below illustrates the truth in the above statement. Outcast----son---disciple---servant ---friend.

Jesus our Lord, after many years of observing and testing  his disciples, He decided to upgrade them into friends. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends - John 15:15.

for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you - John 15:15. Friends share secrets.

Jonathan was David's friend. He told David of his father's intention to kill him. But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeks to kill you: now therefore, I pray you... hide yourself - 1 Samuel 19:2.

God upgraded Abraham into a friend. But you, Israel, are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend - Isaiah 41:8. God never hid anything from Abraham his friend. Hear what God said: And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do - Genesis 18:17.

Another thing friends do is the readiness to satisfy one another at all cost. Look at what Jonathan told David: Then said Jonathan unto David, Whatsoever your soul desires, I will even do it for you - 1 Samuel 20:4.

Know this, just being a son or a daughter of God is not enough. Learn, serve and become his friend.

God bless you.

LOYALTY OF A PROTEGE PROVOKES FRIENDSHIP

 TEXT: JOSHUA 1:1-9

A superior upgrades a loyal protege into a friend

1. _A loyal servant excels._

Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant - Mark 10:43, NIV. Service is the ladder to greatness.

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all - Mark 10:44. Service to people is the qualification to becoming their leader.

2. God confirms the words of a loyal servant.

That confirms the word of his servant - Isaiah 44:26. Elijah decreed before Ahab that rain wouldn't fall and God confirmed it because he was loyal to him.

3. A loyal servant succeeds his master.

Such was Joshua. When Moses was about to die he prayed for a successor. Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation - Numbers 27:16.

*And the LORD said unto Moses, Take you Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him Numbers 27:18.*

How loyal was Joshua to Moses?. When the Israelites were in transit to Canaan, Moses instructed Joshua: choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek - Exodus 17:9. Without any prior military training he obeyed.

Joshua always obeyed Moses without excuses and without complains. Loyalty is a product of absolute obedience.

Know this, you are a leader to only those you serve.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

May you have a God filled day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

TEXT: JOHN 8:31-36

LOYALTY OF A PROTEGE PROVOKES FRIENDSHIP

Man was once an outcast when Adam our progenitor was thrown out of God's presence, we became outcasts. They called you an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeks after - Jeremiah 30:17.

Jesus then brought us to God.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit - 1 Peter 3:18.

When we give our lives to  God through Jesus, we became sons or daughters of God. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name - John 1:12. Listed steps that we must take before our relationship can graduate to friendship

1. Continuing in his word.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed - John 8:31.

2. _Love for others._

By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another - John 13:35.

3. _Winning souls._

Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples - John 15:8.

Realize that becoming your superior's friend does not just suddenly happen, It is takes a process.

God bless you.

TEXT: NUMBERS 12:1-15

LOYALTY CHALLENGES SUPERIOR'S

b) Superiors defend their loyal proteges

God found Moses to be faithful  loyal.

My servant Moses...is faithful in all mine house - Numbers 12:7.

Moses enjoyed God's defence against any aggression.

Aaron and Miriam Moses' siblings who were working under Moses, spoke against Moses and said: Has the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? has he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it - Numbers 12:2.

God rebuked them in these words: With him (Moses) will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? - Numbers 12:8. Miriam, though older than Moses was punished by God and she became leprous.

Korah, Abiram, Dathan,  and the sons of Reuben stood against Moses and Aaron their leaders. And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, You take too much upon you... wherefore then lift you up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD? - Numbers 16:3.

Moses pronounced their punishment. If these men die the common death of all men,... then the LORD has not sent me. But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up - Numbers 16:29-30.

God did exactly that. And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them: And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods - Numbers 16:31-32.

Know this, loyalty of a protege is a weapon of defence in the hands of any superior.

God bless you.

TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 26:7-25

2.  LOYALTY OF PROTÉGÉ PROVOKES SUPERIORS TO EXTENDING PRIVILEGES

Superiors usually respond to the loyalty of their underlings.

Jesus' loyalty provoked his Father to heap upon him certain privileges.

a) HE RECOMMENDED JESUS TO BE HEARD.

God recommended Jesus to be heard in these words: This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him! - Matthew 17:5 NIV. For a Father to tell the whole world to listen to his son means his son has passed the test of loyalty.

God did not only tell the world to listen to him. Jesus actually became his last voice to a dying world. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds - Hebrews 1:1-2.

If your superior is not recommending you or can't recommend you, then your loyalty to him is defective.

Jesus' loyalty was so remarkable that seeing Jesus became equivalent to seeing the Father. Jesus said unto him...he that has seen me has seen the Father - John 14:9.

The reason many superiors are still holding unto power instead of delegating is because of the questionable loyalty of those under them. Some of the people under them are like Absalom.

Absalom poisoned the minds of people against his own father.

Listen to Absalom: Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which has any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice! - 2 Samuel 15:4. He foolishly felt that his sense of judgment was better than that of his father.

David was different. Even though Saul wanted to kill David, David's loyalty to him caused him to declare David king over Israel before he died. Look at what Saul said to David before his soldiers: And now, behold, I know well that you shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand - 1 Samuel 24:20.

The scripture also declared, Then Saul said to David, Blessed be you, my son David: you shall both do great things, and also shall still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place - 1 Samuel 26:25. It pays to be loyal no matter who your superior is.

Know this, your loyalty to your superior is the seed you sow for others to be loyal to you when you also become a superior

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

May you have a God filled day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

TEXT: 2  SAMUEL 24:1-15

JESUS' PROOF OF KNOWING HIS FATHER

a) He hears from his Father

"I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him" - John 8:26.

b) He sees from his Father

Jesus said he was with his Father and saw all that he did and is still doing. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, these also does the Son likewise - John 5:19.

The loyalty of Jesus was clearly demonstrated by His doing only what He sees His Father do.

Do you do things the way your leader does them.

c) He  knows his Father's will

Doing the will of the person under whom you serve is being loyal to him. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me - John 6:38.

You may not like the will of your boss sometimes. But doing it is called loyalty. David told Joab his army commander to go and count Israel. Joab expressed his disagreement to David's decision and said: but why does my lord the king delight in this thing? - 2 Samuel 24:3.

Though Joab didn't like the idea, yet he obeyed him because he was loyal to him. Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel - 2 Samuel 24:4.

Loyalty is doing the will of the person you serve. David told Joab to send Uriah to the hottest part of the battle.  Joab did just that. You may disagree with your boss but you have no choice if you're loyal to him.

Later, God punished David not Joab who obeyed him, for killing Uriah and for counting Israel. God didn't hold Joab vicariously liable for the orders he took from David because God knows the tenets of loyalty.

Always remember this, your promotion under any superior lies in your loyalty to him.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

BEFORE YOU STEP OUT TODAY MONDAY 07/03/2022

TOPIC : UNDERSTANDING LOYALTY

TEXT :  LUKE 10:38-42

Loyalty refers to the submission of the heart to someone else for the achievement of a certain goal.

1. KNOW HIM WELL

The foundation of loyalty is knowing the person you are serving very well. There are people whose loyalty is dented by their thinking that they know their work.

Yes you may know your work; but without knowing the one under whom you serve, you will struggle with loyalty.

Beloved, our loyalty to God will not be remarkable unless we know the God we are serving.

How do you know a person? You know a person from what he has, what he does, what he says, where he stays and what he likes etc.

Jesus was loyal to his Father because he knows him. I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying - John 8:55.

Jesus said he knows his Father and he keeps his saying. Because he knows his Father he was able to please him. And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him - John 8:29.

Jesus knew his Father because he was with him. As a result, when he chose his apostles, he brought them to be with him so they also would know him. And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach - Mark 3:14.

Many today are struggling with loyalty to those under whom they serve because they do not know them.

Jesus was a guest in Martha's house. Without hearing from Jesus, Martha went to prepare food for Jesus. But her sister Mary was with Jesus, listening to him teaching.

When Martha complained about her sister not coming to help her, Jesus said: Martha, Martha, you are careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her - Luke 10:41-42.

Like Martha, many are loyal only to their work yet they expect approval and promotion from their bosses. Mary chose the good part because she has esteemed the words of his mouth more than her necessary food - Job 23:12. Know your master. That's where your loyalty to him begins.

Know this, serving a person without knowing him is like trying to cook your food without fire.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

Your case is not bigger than God.

May you have a God filled day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

TEXT : 1 SAMUEL 15:16-20,22-30

[16]Then Samuel said to Saul, Stop! I will tell you what the Lord said to me tonight. Saul said to him, Say on.

[17]Samuel said, When you were small in your own sight, were you not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed you king over Israel?

[18]And the Lord sent you on a mission and said, Go, utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites; and fight against them until they are consumed.

[19]Why then did you not obey the voice of the Lord, but swooped down upon the plunder and did evil in the Lord's sight?

[20]Saul said to Samuel, Yes, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag king of Amalek and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

[22]Samuel said, Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

[23]For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim (household good luck images). Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.

[24]And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.

[25]Now, I pray you, pardon my sin and go back with me, that I may worship the Lord.

[30]Saul said, I have sinned; yet honor me now, I pray you, before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.

Beloved, whenever I study the fall of Saul, I weep over and over again.

His fall was occasioned by pride and stubbornness.

He was only bordered about people opinion of him.

Even when Samuel had told him that God had rejected him, all he wanted was for people to see him with Samuel.

I believe that pride made king Saul mad.

David would have fallen down and asked God for forgiveness.

He would have wept and fasted.

He would have obtained forgiveness upon the platform of repentance.

Pride blinded Saul and he ended up like one who was never anointed.

Reject pride with all your strength in Jesus mighty name.

God bless you.

With the God I serve, nothing shall be impossible.

TEXT  2 CHRONICLES 26:16-20

[16]But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

[17]And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men:

[18]And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God.

[19]Then Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in his hand to burn incense: and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar.

[20]And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him.

King Uzziah's story was one of the most beautiful stories in the bible.

He started very wonderfully.

He became king at the age of sixteen and did so well.

The bible recorded that as long as he served God, God helped him until he became very strong.

When he became strong, pride entered into him and he became puffed up and  destroyed himself.

That will not be your portion in Jesus mighty name.

TEXT : DANIEL 4:29-32

[29]At the end of twelve months he was walking in the royal palace of Babylon.

[30]The king said, Is not this the great Babylon that I have built as the royal residence and seat of government by the might of my power and for the honor and glory of my majesty?

[31]While the words were still in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: The kingdom has departed from you,

[32]And you shall be driven from among men and your dwelling will be with the living creatures of the field. You will be made to eat grass like the oxen, and seven times [or years] shall pass over you until you have learned and know that the Most High [God] rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever He will.

Dearly beloved, the story of Nebuchadnezzar is an example of what level of devastation pride could wreck in the life of a man.

Pride drove king Nebuchadnezzar away from the dwellings of normal people.

This means that each time we allow that evil spirit called pride to possess us, we  undergo a transformation from being a man to a beast.

The major reason that makes God to hate

Pride is because,

It drains one of human emotions and leaves him absolutely Godless.

It is a beastial spirit that drives the carrier towards the high way to hell.

Pray daily against the spirit of pride.

God bless you.

TEXT  2 Timothy 3:2-5

[2]For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.

[3][They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.

[4][They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.

Beloved all you have read in the highlighted  verses are either the evidence of pride or the result of pride.

To prevail in the battles of life, you need the help of God.

Pride removes you from receiving the help and mercy of God.

It makes you an enemy of God.
