TOPIC : THE CREATIVE POWER OF PRAYER

TEXT PSALM 86:6-10 

[6]Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

[7]In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

[8]Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

[9]All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

[10]For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

Dearly beloved, there are times we need to bring total worship to our God.

Responsibility is a sign of maturity.

As we grow closer to the Lord, the content of our prayers begin to change.

Our prayer language also begin to change.

When our prayers begin to align with God's divine plan for His earth, we are maturing in sons of God from children of God.

It is at this point that God begins to hand over responsibilities to us because we have become partners with our maker.

What type of prayers do you pray?

Are your prayers all need oriented, are they all about you?

Begin to pray like Jesus did, "thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven".

when was the last time you prayed for things and people outside of your needs?

Have you ever prayed for the plans and purposes of God on the earth?

When was the last time you prayed that the darkness in our world should reduce.

If all your prayers are about you, your needs, your children's needs and your family's needs, you are but a baby in the realm of the spirit.

When you start praying for the agenda of God upon His earth, you will suddenly realize that your prayer list will begin to reduce drastically.

All the patriarchs had no personal prayer needs because Elshaddai took over their needs which He made His own.

God can do the same with you if you change your prayer patterns and your petitions.

TEXT DANIEL 10:10-14

[10]And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

[11]And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

[12]Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

[13]But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Daniel had been fasting and praying  for three weeks before this intervention occurred.

Daniel was shocked to hear from the angel that his prayer was answered on the very first day.

So why was there no performance?

Because a governing principality, the prince  of Persia withheld the angel who was bringing the answer.

This is why we should never give up in prayer.

A Christian's continuous prayer is his demonstration of confidence on our father's dependability.

In Luke 18:1 Jesus stated these,

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Beloved, when we get home, many will weep when they realize that the technology of prayer is such that all prayers get answered.

The only prayers that are not answered are the ones we give up on.

I have had prayers that got answered the same day, some same month and some others same year.

I have also had a prayer that I got the answer after thirteen years.

Don't give up, your own answer is on the way.

[16]Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

What is prayer?

Prayer is not merely a dialogue.

It is more of a relationship, an intercourse not a monologue.

In Genesis 3, the Bible said that the voice of Elohim was walking in the cool of the morning in the garden of Eden.

Adam and Eve hid themselves because they had had intercourse with another spirit, this intercourse stripped them naked and they hid themselves.

That intercourse introduced into them the spirit of fear.

To the christian, prayer is an expression of total worship towards God.

It's the demonstration of very deep heart felt love towards God.

Our Deity expects us to always come to Him with boldness.

He assures us of His compassion and understanding of our weaknesses and obvious human frailty.

We become strong when we mingle with Him.

He deposits in us what He carries.

He carries love, total power, total wisdom and pure knowledge.

Whoever does not pray is but a puppet in the hands of demonic spirits.

They are merciless and will continue to abuse all the privileges of such christian.

Wake up, oh ye that sleepeth

TEXT LUKE 2:25-30

[25]And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

[26]And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

[27]And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

[28]Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

[29]Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

[30]For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

The Holy spirit testified that Simeon was a just and devout man.

Simeon waited for the coming of Yeshua the Hamashiach who was the consolation of Israel.

Hamashiach means the Christ, the high priest and the Messiah.

The Holy Ghost revealed to him that he would not see death until had seen the Lord's Christ.

He didn't celebrate the news and become irresponsible like many of God's children.

These babies in Christ would have abandoned their duties in God's house and pursued their canalities and pleasures.

These babies come to church to use God for their necessities. They are selfish and mean.

God will understand and forgive they say.

They have mastered the doctrine of forgiveness, they do not know that the forgiveness they enjoy was predicated upon the blood of God's begotten son.

When will you become a son in your father's house?

A church filled with children of God is a church that the pastors will constantly weep and grieve.

Babies can't build, they are continuously being helped because they are ever dependent.

The Ernest expectation of creation waited for the manifestation of the sons of God, not the children or babies.

Babies are dressed in diapers.

The church is full of adults in diapers.

These are puppets in the had of Satan.

[12]Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

[13]Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

[14]And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

As a mortal, Moses prevailed against God from destroying his people, Israel.

A man who can prevail against God can definitely prevail against Satan.

The rod of Moses was later named the rod of God.

The whole earth lieth in wickedness.

If you are not using your rod against the constant harassment of Satan in your life, then you cannot wield it in your family.

Rise up and defend your territory, realize that Satan is not a gentleman and doesn't play by the rules.

TEXT :  JAMES 5:17-18

16. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

17. Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months.

18. And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].

The scriptures we just read stated that Elijah shut the heavens for three and half years and there was no rain.

He latter changed his mind and opened the heavens. 

This man was  controlling the creations of God like a god. These are elements that predate his creation.

He ruled creation like a god.

I listen to many believers who are excited about shutting the heaven for five hours when they celebrated a wedding. 

They share it as a huge testimony and gloat about such great a miracle.

The bible said that Elijah was a man just like us, but that he prayed excessively and he had all he demanded in prayer.

He stopped the rain for three and half years and he did not have zoe because Christ had not yet come.

How can you carry God inside of you and still be a puppet in the hand of dark forces.

Wake up and live up to the stature of the Christ in you.

After today, no witch should be able to operate around your domain.

Begin to execute them by the weapon of your mouth.

[24]And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

[29]And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

[30]By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

[31]And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Did you notice what the scripture said in verse 31, they were filled with the Holy spirit and the place where they were gathered was shaken.

I know you would subject this to your scientific mind and declare very loud that it is a scam.

But the things of the spirit look like scams to spiritual babies.

Many years ago my brother in law pastor Lewis was leaving in Surulere area of Lagos.

They were visited by a born again retired army officer, connel Okiki.

While they were praying in the sitting room, after a while, the whole building began to shake.

I do not think they knew that such happened.

When you start praying for souls and for God's plan for His earth, you will start seeing the power of God manifest in strange dimensions.

In every generation, those who focus on God and hunger to know Him emerge as spiritual giants.

Satan's greatest quest is to have men of vision trapped in the net of immorality, suffocating materialism and acute prayerlessness.

God is searching relentlessly for intercessors whose prayers will awaken the sleeping warriors and resurrect the dead giants.

Men and women whose prayers will reverse all the works of the wicked one.

Truly, prayer can shake any situation and bring it down to it's knees.

[9]And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

The twenty four elders who minister in God's presence have in their hands, a harp and a golden container containing the prayers of the saints.

Prayers don't die, prayers outlive those who made them.

Spiritual worship is seen as prayer from the perspective of Heaven.

In Psalms 22:30 the bible said that " A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.".

And they sang a new song.

Their heavenly assignment is to worship God eternally.

These worships are imputed as prayers to their accounts.

That a song has Jesus mentioned in it does not necessarily make it spiritual.

What makes a song a worship unto our God is the inspiration behind it.

When the inspiration is of a heavenly witness, it will impact the earth. Your  worship is like a perfume, it can change any smelly situation around your world.

Beloved child of God, did you see that?  those who believe would cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead.

At new birth, their bodies are made of materials that can not be destroyed or be degraded.

These people can eat poison and will be moving around without any discomfort, because they now live above death.

These ones don't have to pray for the sick, they just lay their hands and the sick is healed.

Demons take of when they see them from afar.

Their new language puts the devil into confusion.

What type of signs are following you?

Are they demonic signs and satanic oppressions?

Are they generational curses, ogbanje spirit, immoral and cleptocraptic spirits.

You are created to have dominion over these base spirits from the day you received Christ.

Refuse to be dominated by what should naturally bow to you.

Repent from your spiritual rascality and irresponsibility before prayerlessness buries you.

[1]And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

[2]And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

[3]And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

[4]And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Jesus commanded His disciples to remain in the upper room until they received the Holy spirit.

They could preach, but He told them not to preach.

They could evangelize, but He forbade them.

They were to remain in the upper room praying.

They were to remain there fasting, waiting for the infilling of the Holy spirit.

What they received was dunamis and exousia, power and authority.

The scripture said in Luke 24:48-49,

[48]And ye are witnesses of these things.

[49]And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

If you neglect prayer and fasting, you do it at your peril, you will never amount to anything big in God.

Abandoning the secret place is like telling God, I can do it as good as you can.

Independent spirit is the biggest enemy of God.

Get back to prayer until your knees become as tough as the camel's knees.

Prayer gives us mighty power and changes the spiritual energy of our environment.

It ushers in the presence of just men made perfect.

These men operate as angels, but they will need your fervency in prayer to work with you.

[1]Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

[2]Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

This declaration was made after the prophet Elisha left the secrete place.

He was not guessing.

He was the oracle of God, who was living in the midst of mortals.

He was making decrees and deciding how event on this universe should unfold.

He made the declaration while Israel was under a most damaging lockdown and  embago.

[24]And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria.

[25]And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

The above scripture was the exact condition in Samaria when Elisha made the prophesy.

Every born again child of God can operate from this mountain top position.

All you need is  spiritual hunger.

Begin now to hunger for a higher dimension of life.

It is only the technology of prayer with consecration that can take you higher than this earth realm.

To get a glimpse of the heavenly realm we must 'come up hither'.

No one just ascends to the mountain of God, it must be a man of prayer and intense focus.

Prayer lifts you beyond the earthly realm.

It takes you to a realm where deity decides to do business with you.

It shows you the heart of the father and shows you even the events of years to come. 

Genuine prayer transforms you until you begin to look like the spirit you relate with.

King Hezekiah recieved a degrading and an embarasing letter from the deadly and vicious king Senecharib.

King Hezekiah took the Letter to God in prayer.

He petitioned headquarters, and got our Deity the Lord of hosts into the war.

He engaged God with the right presentation and God moved into action and decimated his enemies.

Prayer is a multifaceted weapon with dependable results.

[7]And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.

[8]And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.

[9]And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.

Samuel was a god- man.

He was the governing gate-keeper of Ramah.

He grew in prayer and holiness until everything within that geographical periphery bowed to him.

Nothing  entered Ramah without his permission.

When you give yourself to intense prayers, you become the gate keeper of your locality.

You begin to declare what you want to see and what you do not want to see, what you want to happen and what you do not want to happen.

God the Monach of this universe does nothing without first telling some humans.

If even God must speak to some people, the satan should because of you avoid your spiritual locality and all those under your sphere because you are God's appointed police officer for your locality.

[45]And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

[46]And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Elijah came from the secret place, that was why he could legislate on earthly matters with exact precision.

The rain was withheld for three and half years because of his decrees.

He was not guessing.

He knew the outcomes, he knew the exact results.

It was not a gamble, the risk was way too high, it was his head.

He would have been decapitated if he made one single error.

God's presence provided him with a transport system that made that of the king obsolete.

He ran, yet he over ran the king's horses and chariots.

Prayer can add the very needed speed to your destiny.

[3]And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

[4]And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

Prayer is so vital that even when you see it in the book, you need to go to the Lord for Him to perform it.

Daniel saw their liberation from the book of Jeremiah but he knew that he needed God to end the travasty against them.

Prayer moves into the spiritual realm to settle issues that finally manifests on the earth.

God said it, it must happen but time in the realm of life is very limited.

A thousand years is like a day in God's own eyes.

If you need that thing to happen now, go to God in prayer.

We have a technology  that can pull God's hand, it's prayer.

Intimacy with his maker is achieved only through prayer.

There is a vacuum in man that can never be filled until he deploys the technology of prayer.

Prayer chats the part back to our maker, and it's in our maker that great men are made.

[7]And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

[8]And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.

God has a specific plan for your deliverance.

That plan is a perfect one.

No matter the yoke the enemy placed on your head, the Lord's promise over your life must surely speak.

He said, I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of good not of bad, to give you a future and hope.

If you align with God's plan, Satan's plans will perish.
