TOPIC : HOPE IN DIFFICULT TIMES

[17](As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

[18]Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

Dearly beloved, Abraham against hope believed in hope.

That means that though he was in a seemingly hopeless situation, he was hopeful.

Don't let your hope die. A dead hope is a dead life.

Your hope gives birth to a healthy faith.

Abraham refused to let his faith die.

Even though at this time, he was too old to father a child, he knew that God cannot lie.

Can you believe God that he will rescue you  from this issue that is raging fire against your destiny. 

Can you trust Him that no matter how difficult it looks, that with God on your side, you  already have victory.

Hope is a spiritual tonic that cleanses and reguvenates the eye of the spirit.

It is the compass that guides us through the dark and slippery paths of life.

Hope sees light in the dark tunnels of life.

Hope assures the carrier that there is an oasis in the desert.

Hope charts a path in the wilderness of life.

The spirit of hope in Job reassured him even after his body had almost been mutilated by sicknesses that he would see God in the same flesh.

What he meant was that he would be Healed and that he would see the visitation of God in this lifetime.

Beloved, I might not know what you are going through, but I am persuaded that my God will see you through by a miracle in Jesus mighty name.

[9]Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

Dearly beloved, there are times in life that people are cast down and actually brought down.

This could be as a result of financial, marital, health and emotional crisis.

Many have taken their own lives because of betrayals, abandonments, bankruptcies and evictions.

I know you would think that you could never imagine ending it, yes so I thought until I was paid repeated visits by the kingdom of darkness.

No one chooses their battles.

If we have choices in the battles that come to us, I would not choose any.

However, once in a while, devil knocks on our doors.

Beloved, no matter how scary that problem looks, if God's word is in place in your heart, there is hope.

Jesus declared in John 15:7,

"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."

Beloved what this means is that you can declare your freedom from that longstanding condition and it will lose its grips off you.

[26]And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

[27]Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

[28]Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

Dearly beloved, as you read through  these scriptures, you will notice the interplay of power.

You would also realize that Joseph was not alone even though his brothers thought he was.

Joseph came into that wilderness unaware that he being escorted by a battalion of angelic forces.

He must have been terrified by the strange schemes by his own brothers to kill him.

Beloved, though you work through the valley of the shadow of death, God is with you, even in that deep pit.

Beloved, we are never alone, we are always surrounded by an innumerable band of angels, the only problem is that we are not conscious of them.

As we begin to activate this consciousness, we will begin to experience a higher dimension of angelic intervention.

We are not standing because we are strong, we are standing because we have a strong God.

The bible declared in Psalm 33:16-18,

"No king is saved by the great size and power of his army; a mighty man is not delivered by [his] much strength.

A horse is devoid of value for victory; neither does he deliver any by his great power.

Behold, the Lord's eye is upon those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe], who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness,"

Dearly beloved, it is God's exemption that has kept us away from being defeated.

The jealousy of God will arrest and deal ruthlessly with any one who dares to mock His kids.

God said to king Abimelech, " you are a dead man".

Dearly beloved, God won many battles for the children of Israel by Himself.

They did not have to lift up their hands to fight.

On one occasion Moses divided the sea by simply striking his rod on the water.

In another one he simply lifted up his hands, and as long as his hands were up, Israel was the winning side.

Yet on another occasion, Samuel brought  defeat on their enemies by raising an alter with a stone.

If all you have came by the strength of your  might, you are living under a curse.

Blessed people live under a covenant of exemption.

They do not enter into their inheritance by their power but by the energy of the spirit of God.

At those times, you notice repeated patterns of the finger of devil creating calamities.

It begins to look like you are the only one the devil has his address.

They are also called the evil day, the day Satan remembers you.

Beloved, there is however a package called exemption for those who put God first.

The bible said in

Matthew 6:31-33

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

When we put God first, we receive our branded bill of exemption.

Beloved, we serve a jealous God.

God sees our bodies are a portal, a gateway to the dimension of the spirits.

The reason God brands us is because our bodies are temples for His service and worship.

God will always destroy those who desecrate the body of Christ, a body without blemish.

In the book of Exodus  12:29-30 the Lord came down in anger against Egypt for abducting His son Israel. He massacred all first children in Egypt, such that there was no family that people did not cry in agony.

He also decimated the army of Egypt, the most sophisticated army of the known world.

And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead."

Beloved, that is the God you serve, He is the same, yesterday, today and forever.

Jesus boldly declared in the book of John 10 verses 34-35,

If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;"

Can a god be trapped? can a god be sick? can a god be afflicted? can a god be poor? can a god die?

Since you are a god,  what cannot happen to a god cannot happen to you.

You are not a mere mortal, you are the offspring of the almighty God.

You are not distructible.

You are the most superior being on the planet, begin to learn how to behave like one.

This prophecy was fulfilled in Acts 28 when a snake coiled around Paul's hand, struck Him but could not kill.

When they waited to see him fall and die, and he didn't, they bowed to him, declaring him a God.

I declare over your life, in the same manner, your enemies will be bowing down before you as God continues to disappoint all their evil plans in Jesus mighty name.

Your Lord did not say that He will stop them from gathering against you, He only declared by a functional law that if that gathering is against you, it is destined to fail.

Because you are branded, no weapon nor conspiracy against your person in permitted to prosper.

They are all dead on arrival.

You have a mouth that is branded by fire, when you speak, the fire that emits from you consumes your adversaries.

The God of Heaven and the Creator of the universe declares that your right standing is guaranteed by Him.

These were the rights of servants before your branding translated you into sonship.

Dearly beloved, when a person has been branded, he is no longer his own.

Now he belongs to another who purchased him with his might.

The scripture said in the book of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20,

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

You see child of God, you are not like a reed in the bush that should be blown away by an evil wind.

You are not roasted meat for the devil's lunch.

You are not the kind of  snack the devil gives to his children for dinner.

You are a brand plugged out of fire, therefore you are a fire brand.

Declare it loud and clear, "I am a fire brand".

Even when Satan wants to implicate you by accusation, your God who chose and branded you by love will rebuke him.

He will re-dress you with a royal raiment.

To be ungrateful is to be grounded.

It is ones personal choice to tie himself to a spot.

The children of Israel suffered the consequences of ingratitude in the wilderness on their way to the promised land.

In their hunger and starvation, God provided them with manna.

Instead of thanking the Lord, they turned around and asked " what is this thing?".

God was so angry with these people that He fed them with manna for forty years.

There are many of us that have remained on one spot because of our wicked hearts.

Beloved, stop questioning God, start appreciating Him for where you are, never forget that your present position in life is someone's prayer point of many years.

[9]Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

[10]Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

[11]Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

[12]For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

The sin of ingratitude is considered as one of the worst sins in the bible.

The reason for this is that an insatiable spirit would do anything no matter how terrible to feel the vacuum of lack created by Satan in his life.

King David had everything he wanted in life.

He had more women than he could satisfy as the king but ingratitude to God led him to snatching Bathsheba and ultimately killing Uriah the husband.

I have observed both in the church and ministry, the undermining, backstabbing and betrayals many suffer in the hand of ungrateful sons and daughters.

I have seen those who broke off and put a church in the same street to compete with their fathers.

Many pastors bleed to the alters every Sunday as a result of what people who they raised did to them.

Some have suffered extrem depression because of deep stabs delivered by people they risked their comfort and reputation to save.

But there is a way out of the repercussion and consequences of these wickedness.

You need to return to those you have hurt and apologise to them.

It is never too late, today, take your phone and begin to search for the contacts of those you have bruised.

When you find them, begin to make amend because, it may be too late.

[9]We should not tempt the Lord [try His patience, become a trial to Him, critically appraise Him, and exploit His goodness] as some of them did–and were killed by poisonous serpents;

[10]Nor discontentedly complain as some of them did–and were put out of the way entirely by the destroyer

[11]Now these things befell them by way of a figure [as an example and warning to us]; they were written to admonish and fit us for right action by good instruction, we in whose days the ages have reached their climax (their consummation and concluding period).

There are some of God's children who suffer from hyper entitlement syndrome.

These people believe that they ought to have everything they have and more.

They forget that there are believers who are holier, more dedicated and more prayerful who do not enjoy the level of mercies at their disposal.

They simply take what they have received for granted.

They go on grumbling and complaining about every little discomfort.

The bible said that this type of people were overthrown in the wilderness because of their murmuring.

The scripture also stated that their fate should serve as a warning for us.

Glorify Him by being early in all services because He was there waiting before you casually strolled in.

Glorify Him with your gold and silver.

Many people will do everything for God until they are called to surrender their money.

These ones have consistently failed the giving test, without knowing that their selfishness is the reason why their lives look like evil forests.

It's time for you to repent.

Dearly beloved, one of the biggest diservice to God, is an independent spirit.

Having been in the ministry for some time now, whenever people are going to be drawn away by the devil, the first gift he gives them, is an independent spirit.

This spirit is an anointing of pride from the devil.

Beloved, whenever nobody can control you, even God has lost control over your life.

At this time, the Lord is nolonger your Shepard, you have become your own Shepard.

Because God cannot share His glory with any man, He rejects these ones as long as they continue with such arrogant mindsets.

My prayer for you is that today, you will repent and begin to seek for God's face.

The bible said that God's wish is that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.

This means that you cannot prosper beyond your spiritual growth in God.
