TOPIC : ITS TIME FOR A NEW BEGINNING
TEXT PSALMS 15:1-3
1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Beloved, many have declared that it is impossible to live a holy life.
Truly it is difficult when we are trying it by our own power but with God, everything is impossible.
Many saints of God who were here before us lived a life that God Himself testified that was pure and holy.
Men like Enoch were translated and never tasted death because their sanctification conquered death.
Enoch's holiness defeated death that it could not feast on his mortal body.
What can I do to live a holy life
1. Become aware that there is no hiding place on earth.
By this I mean that there are eyes that see even through pitch darkness.
When you hide in order to sin, the demons see you because you have become their agent, the omnipresence personality of the Lord and the angels also see you.
Let us ruminate on the book of Romans 6: 12,13 &16,
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Be totally aware that nothing is hidden from God.
2. Develop the consciousness of the presence of God.
Realize that God is always with you.
He lives in you and He cannot forsake you.
God knows your weaknesses and is always willing to help you overcome them.
3. Keep on building a vibrant prayer life.
Without a serious prayer life, you cannot commune with God.
God is a spirit and prayer is the technology for spirit communication.
4. Make sure always that there is nothing that belongs to Satan that is in your possession.
Some people are carrying handsets that the content can corrupt a generation of saints.
Some people carry victories that can be traced to immorality and wickedness.
Never forget that whatever is not built on the solid rock will eventually be brought down by the storms of life.
The products of sin are ephemeral and vanishing, avoid them.
The year has just began, repent and begin a new life and Christ will shine His light upon you.
