BE CAREFUL THE NAME YOU GIVE YOUR CHALLENGES

 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

Beloved, imagine the type of prophecy that has gone ahead of this man.

Do you know that there were battles that he avoided in his life time because he thought he would lose  them.

Do you know that at the end of his life when men were celebrating his many successes, the angelic forces were mourning his loses in the many battles he would have won and many lands he didn't possess yet his feet stepped into them.

What about you?

Do you realize the kind of prophecy that was released ahead of your life?

God has no small child.

He called them all to reign as kings.

You are operating below your God declared level.

You are not born to be a beast of burden to anyone, you are sent as a wonder to your generation.

 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

There is nothing that you are faced with today that is new.

It has happened to others in the past, and many saints of God triumphed in them.

God has prepared us to be able to deal with whatever stone the devil may throw at us.

They will be to us as our building blocks.

The Lord declared that there is no temptation that is permitted to come to us except common ones.

We are not going to have any special challenges.

He said that right inside of the challenges, that He has positioned our solutions.

Beloved, you are not allowed to see nor call any challenge special.

Don't  call uncommon what God has called common.

Declare loud and clear, "all my challenges are common".

HEALING FOR A DAMAGED SOULS

‭‭

"For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

Friends, there is something terrible that protracted pains and long standing affliction does to the souls of many people.

IT KILLS SOME AND DAMAGES OTHERS.

While God wants us to be dead to the things of this world, He wants our souls to be fully alive.

A dead soul is a soul that cannot be revived even by the gospel.

A dead soul does not expect any new thing again.

His heart is locked.

A damaged soul can be caused by betrayal from a highly trusted friend, so the victim decides never to open his heart again to anyone.

This becomes a defensive mechanism to protect themselves from being hurt, not knowing that they have just been armed by satan.

Many people never recover from rape, they need spiritual therapy.

Some even though they are in marriage still find themselves unable to trust any man, including their husbands, they see in all men the face of their aggressors.

Most abused people, including those abused by their parents respond to life both with fear and suspicion.

These victims move around with  damaged souls.

Unfortunately, hurting people hurt others.

If they are in your company, every of your action is viewed with great suspicion.

Your main job will be to prove and reassure them that you mean well, yet they will never believe you because their souls are damaged.

Those who are married to such people will tell you their experiences.

But their is hope if for a tree that is uprooted.

God has a promise of healing for these people.

I pray that you receive healing in Jesus mighty name.

PRAYER, A MAJOR KEY TO RECOVERY

 "..... The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit."

Beloved, there is no doubt that prayer changes things, people and geographical locations, but it's not every type of prayer that can achieve this.

The type of prayer that can achieve this is the effectual and fervent prayer of a righteous man.

The word effectual in Greek means active, efficient and operative.

There is something that this kind of prayer does to the soul of a man.

It changes the structure of a man's soul.

If it does not, you can have a praying witch/wizard.

But if a man's soul is reconstructed, the man now operates in the class of a god.

Prayer doesn't change God, it changes men.

One of your greatest prayer for this year is that my soul should be reconstructed to reflect the image of the resurrected Christ.

When this happens, you will see that you will no longer need to pray for things.

KINDNESS, A KEY TO TOTAL RECOVERY

 "And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water;

And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights."

David was in distress and cried unto the Lord for help, God promised David that he would recover all.

However, God did not explain to him the details of how he would become victorious in that battle.

He was not given any blue print.

David in his pursuit encountered a young  Egyptian whose boss had abandoned for dead.

David took the young man, fed him and nursed him back to life.

David dispensed mercy, his kindness spoke volumes in the young man's heart.

The young man became the compass through which David overtook his enemies and recovered all.

From the encounters of David, you would discover why many may have remained perpetually in an issue.

It could be because their hearts could not locate mercy where if dispensed would have brought their highly desired turn around.

"And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all."

Beloved, David and his men had just returned from a fierce battle, only to discover that their camp at Ziklag had been attacked.

  The Amalekites had invaded Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire.

They took everyone captive.

They killed no one but carried them away, and went on their way.

So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.

In a situation like this, most mortal men would have become irrational, driven by both rage and emotions.

David's men had taken up stones against him.

David sort for the priest and then enquired of the Lord.

This year, you will need clarity in other to journey through.

You will need the spirit of discernment in other to avoid very costly mistakes.

David heard clearly from the Lord and that was why he defeated his enemies, if you will hear from the Lord, you defeat your enemies.

And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites."

The journey of the children of Israel to Egypt was basically the result of the success story of Joseph.

Joseph had become the next in command to pharaoh at a time the then world was suffering one of it's worst economic meltdown.

Joseph's journey was based on divine direction , but we cannot expressly 

 say the same for the rest of his family who relocated and worked into a waiting cage.

They simply walked into a four hundred and thirty year avoidable bondage.

You see, when they all came to Egypt, it looked as though they had escaped from suffering, hunger and lack, but none of them saw the invisible cage that they had just walked into.

Why didn't they see it, they did not pray and wait for divine direction concerning the "fantastic" opportunity that just showed up.

They did not also cry unto God concerning  the draught and famine that was ravaging their land.

All they could see was EGYPT.

Why did it take them walking into the beautiful land of bondage before they could pray?

Because opportunities sometimes could be simply satanic manipulation.

When they prayed centuries later, God answered them.

If they had prayed initially , God would have still answered them.

Beloved  because of many "opportunities" that may pup up this year whenever you experience a closed door,  you need to be very cautious in jumping into the boat.

They may not all be divinely inspired opened doors.

learn to pray for the spirit of discernment.

It's a week with great opportunities.

BE COURAGEOUS AND AUDACIOUS

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

Beloved, there are a group of people on earth who nothing moves.

They are totally indifferent about everything.

This is not faith.

This is called low need achievement level.

They seem comfortable in every situation.

They are not ready to fight for anything, they are easily satisfied.

However in this world, nothing changes until and unless intense pressure is introduced to it.

Difficulties and challenges are indicators that signal the introduction of a new season.

It just depends on how you handle them.

For some being broke is the result of a curse placed by someone from their village, but for some others it's a sign that they should fight poverty.

Not just by prayer but by the deployment of a sound mind and tenacity.

A decision that if I don't get it, I don't give up.

Ephraim was indifferent, lukewarm and nonchalant, he took everything for granted. 

He had no zeal and no fire.

Have you been with such people?

You can't push them and you can't ignite them, they are dead men.

Beloved, this year is too critical in your life to be wasted.

Trust me, you can change your life.

What should you do?

Begin to take positive actions now.

YOU CAN DO IT

 "And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!

And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD."

Beloved, I am one of those who believe that nothing is impossible and no feat is unachievable.

I was newly born again and had followed my pastor to see the owner of an accomodation he would have wanted to rent for our church branch.

Immediately the woman mentioned her rent, I said that I would pay.

At that time, my salary was less than forty dollars, and I had so many bills to pay.

I began to rebuke myself, "Obinna, your big mouth will put you into trouble one day ".

I paid that and I left that level forever.

David longed for the water of Bethlehem which was by the gate.

This was a troubled area, occupied by the enemy.

Three of his men that heard it braced up, armed with courage and loyalty crossed the enemy line and fetched the water for him.

Another I had the Lord tell me that it's time to start the church, even though we live inside an estate, I started in the sitting room.

I was the senior pastor, my wife the associate pastor and my daughter who was about five years, choir leader.

What are you afraid to dare?

The only possibility of achieving it is daring it.

If you dare it, you could succeed, but if never tried, you can never ever get there.

Your biggest limitation is your fear.

Every great thing you see today is the mark a man/woman who killed their fears.

THE TEST OF HONOR

Then Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.

And Saul pitched in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon, by the way.

 But David abode in the wilderness, and he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.

And David arose, and came to the place where Saul had pitched: and David beheld the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain of his host: and Saul lay in the trench, and the people pitched round about him.

So David and Abishai came to the people by night: and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within the trench, and his spear stuck in the ground at his bolster: but Abner and the people lay round about him.

Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day: now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time.

And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD'S anointed, and be guiltless?"

Saul had gone out in search of David to kill him.

Unfortunately for Saul and fortunately for David, David came upon Saul in a vulnerable condition .

Saul was asleep.

Every leader needs awakers.

These are men and women who would wake up their leader from sleep without necessarily bringing him to shame.

One day, Jesus was on a mission with His disciples, the sea became turbulent but they discovered that Jesus was asleep.

"Do you not care if we perish" was their cry to the Lord.

They woke Him up and He calmed the storm.

David told those promoting him to kill Saul, the Lord's anointed that he would not stretch his hands on the Lord's anointed.

David passed this test and got a place of eternal honor for himself.

These things are written for our admonition.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

God is the wisest being in the universe because He is the most experienced.

Having existed before the earth, He knows everything.

His ways are higher because of higher knowledge.

He knows all things.

He has perfect understanding in all things.

If you align your life with the thoughts of God, you will live the higher life.

If you work by your sight, you will stumble, and you will grope in darkness.

It might seem as if there is light everywhere yet your life will be full of errors.

Because of God's higher ways, there are no possibilities of errors.

In God also, there are no impossibilities.

As you go through this year, I pray that you become a word addict because His ways are found in The word.

WORKING BY THE WORD

" (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)"

The believer is called to live by faith.

Living by faith means living by the word of God.

This means trusting everything God says and living by it.

Living by the word of God means refusing to accept defeat by not taking in thoughts of the situation as magnified by Satan.

The word of God will keep you sane, safe and secure.

Keep your mind in alignment with the word.

Train your mind to believe God's word early in your life.

Never allow the world to mould your mindset no matter what you are going through.

"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."(Romans 8:5-6)

Beloved, if you allow the world to mould your thought pattern, your life will produce only, frustration, bitterness, hatred , sickness and death.

Begin early in the year to see things the way God sees it and you will discover that no power would be able to frustrate you this year.

This scripture is one of the most loaded scriptures that has been revealed to me.

It's one of the greatest assurances that my soul has received.

It is a sure guarantee that everything will turn around for my good.

The beautiful thing about this revelation is that it ensures that no matter what a child of God faces, it will turn around for their good.

I do not know what you are going through today, I just know that God will turn it around for your good.

It does not matter the kind of stone devil throws at you, it will turn around for your good.

I pray for you that God will reveal this scripture deeper into your spirit in Jesus mighty name.

TEXT : 1 KINGS 1: 11-14

IT WILL TURN AROUND FOR YOUR LIFTING .

   

 Wherefore Nathan spake unto Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth it not?

Now therefore come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel, that thou mayest save thine own life, and the life of thy son Solomon.

Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?

Behold, while thou yet talkest there with the king, I also will come in after thee, and confirm thy words."

King David promised his wife Bethsheba that Solomon her son would be the king after him.

In the Jewish tradition, it was the reigning king that determined who would reign after him.

Solomon was oblivion of the in fighting and the politics of the throne.

His brother Adonijah, usurped the throne, gathered people and crowned himself king.

Even though Solomon was not involved in the politics of the throne, God activated prophet Nathan and his mother to fight his battle.

Beloved, the sweetest victory is the effortless one.

The same way Solomon didn't have to fight in that battle, you may not have to fight in this battle facing you, yet victory is yours.

WHAT ARE YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS.

   

 "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."

.... That we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.

Beloved, one of the most sobering facts about life is that all humans constantly fall into the same tactics of the Satan.

These tactics are the use of pain and pleasure to either break us or entangle us.

The Bible calls him the deceiver of the whole world, it's not a nick name, he earned it by his success rate at his job.

He is also called the accuser of the brethren, he also earned it.

Satan's intention when he attacks you with setbacks and delays, is to introduce offence into your life.

Once offence is introduced, it will give birth to bitterness, no matter how logical you think you are, you will begin to blame those around you for your predicaments.

The next stage is hatred, you begin to helplessly hate them.

Once Satan convinces you by your single story that God is not good, you have become a very dangerous weapon in his hand.

Beloved, do you know that Judas onced loved Jesus.

It was offence that turned a one time saint into a betrayer.

I know that you would say it can never happen to me, Peter said the same thing, yet he denied Jesus without blinking an eye.

Beloved, where are you?

BEFORE YOU STEP OUT TODAY TUESDAY 09/01/2024

TEXT : PSALM 1:1-3

WHAT ARE YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS.

    

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

Proverbs 13:20 

" He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."

Friends, I have discovered that the result of camping with the wicked is the same with that of camping with fools.

These two sets of relationship will bring you pain.

The wicked will hurt you intentionally. He will betray you and justify his actions.

The foolish will not be intentional, but the cost of his foolishness could still destroy you.

If this year is critical for you, then avoid these two sets of people.

The Bible says that the fools says that there is no God.

Some of you have already began to question the existence of God.

You that use to love God, check your company.

The wicked are the number one enemies of God, He can never lift them.

They have one destiny, destruction.

If your destiny is very precious to you, avoid the wicked and the foolish.

TEXT : GALATIANS 6:7-9

WHAT ARE YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS.

  

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

Beloved, the principle of grace in the scripture in usually wrongly taught by both Sunday school teachers and pastors.

Grace is not a license to become careless, reckless and wicked.

The older you become in the faith, the more you realize that the promises of God does not override the laws of God.

As you begin to understand the implication of certain laws, like the law of sowing and reaping, you begin to weigh your actions appropriately.

As you make progress in the spirit, you will find yourself asking yourself questions like, "am I reaping or are they sowing?

Whenever there is a gang-up against you, you develope empathy for the aggressors knowing that they are sowing.

Since they are sowing,  their harvests are surely in view.

Beloved, are you reaping or are you sowing?

Remember, you can determine your harvest by carefully selecting your seeds.

TEXT : 2 CHRONICLES 26:16

WHAT ARE YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS.

  

 "But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

Beloved, there are many people in church today who are not being resisted by devil, but are being resisted by God Himself.

God resists the proud and gives grace to the meek.

There are many in church who are not qualified for God's help.

How should I know whether I am qualified for God's help?

1. The way you serve in God's house, If you were a CEO, would you hire somebody like yourself and put him in a strategic position?

2. If you mistakenly hire such a person, would you ever consider promoting him?

3. If you have hired such an unserious person would you not be looking for a way to hire him so that your organization would become profitable.

4. How many of you like to keep staff who are in your employment but are sending out their applications always.

They are standing with one foot.

The pastor does not know you, but God knows and God does not promote such people.

Uzziah was lifted but when pride entered into his spirit, he was immediately brought down.

God knows that He is the Almighty an has never spared those who insult Him.

 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (Romans 1:21)

Beloved, begin to serve God this year like you have never done before and God will visit you like He has never visited you before.

WHAT ARE YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS.

  

 Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had. 

understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper."

Beloved, the Bible said that as long as Uzziah sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.

Therefore we can conveniently conclude that as our good success is anchored on the pursuit of the eternal deity.

If you will seek God vigorously this year, your result will be awesome and all will see them.

How do you seek God?

1. Honor the service days all through this year.

When you stroll in late to the church, you dishonor and insult God.

Whenever you come to church after your pastor has come, you dishonor God not man.

2. Honor God with your giving.

That your Sunday offerings, can you boldly give it as transport fare to your friend?

Many people give God, what they can't give to their house helps.

3. Begin to use your time and talents in God's house.

It's only a prodigal that is begged to assist in his father's house.

If you have never felt the need to by part of a service group, you need to check yourself.

When you begin to honor God, God will also begin to honor you.

When this happens, you will have a year you will be proud of.

WHAT ARE YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS.

  

 "So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God."

Beloved, this year is a great year.

It's a year that holds so much promises and prospects for us, but many will still fall by the way side.

Before the third month of this year, many would have reached the point of throwing in the towel.

The only thing that will keep you to the end would be God's direction in your spirit.

It is His manifest presence and the clear consciousness of it in our spirit.

God is real, He is the greatest force in the universe.

He alone has the power to protect us from all the schemes of the devil to bring us to shame.

Start your year with God, you will surely end well.

He alone knows the way in the wilderness.

He truly can be trusted.
